As the previous Administration sated fn leter to you dated January 6, 2017, the open enellment periods forall health insurance marketplaces ‘were set forth in regulation. Specifically, 45 CFR 135 410(¢)2) requires that the Plan Veat 2017 open caoliment period begins on November 1, 2016, and ends on January 31,2017. ‘These regulatory requirements remain in place, and I concur with former Sereary Burwells determination that we are unable to make «change tothe open enrollment period deadline for MNSure. | regret that ths response could not be favorable. However, there are additional options that MNSure could implement to ensure that consumers in Minnesota who faced specific obstacles to enrolling in coverage are able todo so.
