Features
Cross-Project Information
The cross-project view provides an option to search for master projects, information on key dates, actual and planned values for key performance indicators
(KPIs) such as cost, revenue, margin, percentage of completion (POC), work in progress (WIP), and alerts for default or personalized conditions. In this view,
you can display information about the latest status of the master project and the evolving trend. This view allows you to personalize categories, KPIs, and
alerts.
As of SP03, you can:
Move or copy master projects from one category to another (using the context menu).
Personalize the navigation sequence in a flexible manner; for example, the first 3 items in the navigation sequence can be personalized to display
frequently accessed menu items.
Personalize the sequence of master projects in manually created categories ( Cross-Project View Options
Sequence Settings .
Navigate to financial plans, contact persons, and milestone checklists

Master Project and Related Object References

You can use the master project to link together all the business objects that are used in a typical real-world project. For example, the master project is used to
link objects such as cProjects, Project System (PS) project structures, CRM opportunities, sales orders, contracts, quotations, and inquiries. You can assign
business objects from SAP and non-SAP systems using Business Add-Ins (BAdIs). You can define master project structure views to display a complete or
limited hierarchy of business objects that are linked through the objects assigned to master projects. You can use the master project structure to view
procurement information about purchase orders, open purchase requisitions, invoices, and service entry sheets that have not been released. You can view
commercial information such as sales orders, billing plans, invoices, debit memos, and aged debt. You can assign the responsibility of business objects to
project team members, view documents attached to business objects, and process master projects in the Project Workspace . Through integration with
Project Cost and Revenue Planning (CA-CPD-FP), you can create financial plans for master projects and the assigned business objects. You can also
manage change requests and issues related to master projects through the integration with Project Issue and Change Management (CA-CPD-PCM).

Project Reporting Attributes

You can create customized fields to record additional information for master projects and related business objects. For example, a project manager can use
additional fields to record information such as the financial risk of a master project or the type of work that is recorded against a network activity (PS). As of
SP03, you can define reporting attributes for multiple structure items in a tabular view.

Teams, Members, Roles, and Responsibilities

You can set up teams that are responsible for various aspects of planning and executing master projects Identify the roles for each task, and assign members
to each role. You can assign the responsibility for related business objects, such as sales orders and network activities, to individual team members. You can
quickly set up teams by copying the team structure, roles, and members from one master project to another.
As of SP03, you can:
View the master project hierarchy with the subordinate team structures.
Assign roles, responsible teams, or persons to the master project structure.
View responsible persons when you choose a specific subobject in the master project structure.
You can enable team status using the Specify Parameters function in the Team Structure view.

Commercial View
You can preview a consolidated overview of the commercial aspects of a master project, including the document flow. You can view the status of sales orders
and contracts associated through the related business objects of a master project. This function also allows you to view open billing plan items, unpaid
invoices, debit memo requests, and a consolidated report of outstanding payments from customers.

Procurement View
You can view the purchase orders and open purchase requisitions for a structure element in the master project structure (execution structure). For a selected
purchase order, you can view the list of non-released service entry sheets, open invoices, and the purchase history.

Project Rate Card and Billing Plan

You can use the Rate Card Editor to create your own rate cards for sales orders. You can use the Billing Plan Manager to schedule planned billing, fixed
price billing, or resource-related billing events. You can use the Billing Plan Cockpit to create debit memo requests for scheduled billing events.

Project Review and Status Monitoring

You can customize statuses and trends to reflect your business environment and also use these statuses and trends to create templates that can be used for
review processes. You can create and update project statuses using icons and detailed comments. You can view a log of status changes and comments.
As of SP03, you can:
Use the Deactivated status to indicate that a particular status is no longer valid and that the user can create a new status for the same review period
Enable the team status using the Specify Parameters function in the Team Structures view
Generate, store, and e-mail status reports in the PDF format
View the team responsible in the Status and Trends screen

Business Objects and Transactional Information

reference to configurable business KPIs derived from related business objects and receive on-screen alerts. You can also override default alerts and
