Lesson 3 : the fields uses computers
First, A computer is an electronic hardware device that can accept and
process data. There are six important elements of the computer system.
First, is People, it is the one who run and operate the computer. And it is
also the most important element of a computer. The next one is the
Software, it is the one who process the data. It is a programs that tell the
computer what to do. Third, the Hardware, the one who has a Physical
components. Then, the Data, it includes texts, numbers, sounds, images, and
video to put into a computer. Fifth, Connectivity, it is the one who has an
internet to used the computer. Last, Procedure, it is the step by step
instructions to follow when using hardware and software. The next lesson is
the System Software, it is the programs that the computer uses. And it is
consist of Operating System, Utility Software, and Device Driver. The Utility
Software, is a program that performs maintenance tasks. The Device Driver,
is the one allows hardware to works on our computer. There are Advantages
and Disadvantages in using computers. In Advantages, there are Speed,
Storage, Reliable, Consistent, and Communication. The Disadvantages in
using computers are, Safety and Security, Health risks, Environment, Use of
power, and Privacy Violation. The next lesson is, The History of Computer.
There are 14 inventors who makes computers. The first one is, John Napier.
He invented the Napiers Bones, it is used for multiplication and long
division. Next is, William Oughtred, the inventor of the slide rule that
performs calculations faster. Third is, Blaise Pascal, the one who invented
Pascaline which is the earliest calculator. Then, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, it
is the inventor of Leibniz Wheel that is used in calculating machines. Fifth is,
Charles Babbage, the inventor of the Difference Engine 1, it is the first
mechanical computer made of hand-made brass parts. Sixth is, Ada
Lovelace, she is the first computer programmer. Seventh is, Joseph Marie

Jacquard, he improved the idea to store information on punched papers or

wood. Eighth is, Thomas Edison, He perfected the light bulb which has a
direct effect on computer industry. Ninth is, Herman Hollerith, he improved
the idea of punched cards and invented the card reader. Vannevar Bush is
the inventor of the vacuum tube for temporary storage. Steve Jobs and Steve
Wozniak, they introduced the first personal computer from their newly
formed company, the Apple Computer. Robert Noyce and Jack Kilby, they
invented the Integrated Circuit (IC) or the semi-conductor chip. William
Thomson, the inventor of Tide Predictor that predict the tide for any given
time. John Mauchly and Presper Eckert, they built the ENIAC (Electronic
Numerical Integrator and Calculator). The Next Lesson is, the fields uses
computers. The first one is, Computer in school, the computers are in school
by means of word processing, printing documents, and it helps us to work
with our assignments and projects. Next is, Field in Education, Teachers are
able to apply computer-based learning. Field of Research, helps researchers
to gather information in any matters. Field of Media, helps in creating short
and even full length films. Field of Publishing, it is used in creating page
layouts for an entire book and magazines. In Medicine, it is used by doctors
in diagnosing diseases. Field of Banking, it is used to do financial
transactions and providing ATMs. Field of Mathematics, it helps compute
over a million or billion calculations. In Travel Agency and Hotels, It helps
easily to book an air tickets and make hotel reservations online. In
Telecommunication, it helps users to communicate by voice and text. Field
of Defense, it helps modern weapons to ensure accuracy and precision. In
Malls, super markets, and online shopping, it helps to calculates the bills
and process both cash and credit transactions efficiently. In the field of
Accounting, it helps prepare financial reports and predict future trends in
business. In the field of Sports, it helps athletes to practice their skills by
Simulation software. In the Field of Aeronautics, it is used to trained the
pilot by Simulate Flying. At Home, it helps on several tasks at home and for
entertainment. Last is, In the Office, it helps do several business activities
like planning and scheduling.
This are the lessons I learned. Thats all.
