ADAPTIVE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE

MULTI-USERS
Introduction
High rise development adapted to the local surrounding, requirements, culture, heritage,
climate & professional group, along with implementation of latest technology in the
building. The building must also be the iconic development.

Brief
Tall buildings throughout the world are becoming popular day by day. With the advent of
modern day construction technology and computers, the basic aim has been to
construct safer buildings keeping in view the overall economics of the project. A high-rise
building, apartment tower, office tower, apartment block, or block of flats, is a tall
building or structure used as a residential and or office use. In some areas they may be
referred to as "Multi Dwelling Unit" They have the potential to decongest the urban sprawl
on the ground level, and increase the urban density, housing higher number of families in
lesser space.

Justification
The reason for choosing this topic is because, the population of India is exponentially
growing. Since horizontal growth leads to the rapid exhaustion of natural resources and
cultivable lands, vertical growth is preferred. In 21st century vertical development is more
safe than ever. It is expected that in 2025, every tier-2 cities in India will have a skyscraper.
So the vertical development based on the locality is more sensible rather going for
horizontal development.
