EXPERIMENT 2
(a) Aim: To understand the use of DC Ammeter, Voltmeter and regulated Power supply.
Objective:
1. State and Prove Kirchoffs Voltage Law (KVL) in the circuit given, in Fig1 experimentally.
2. If VS is changed to 24V verify the KVL.

Experiment Procedure:
1. Connect the circuit on bread board as shown in figure 1. Do not connect voltmeters.
2. Keep the voltage knob of DC power supply to minimum position. Keep the current limit
Knob to maximum position.
3. Verify the circuit with Ammeter polarities in +ve and ve Terminals.
4. Now switch on the power supply and set the DC voltage to 18V. Note down the reading
of Vs and IDC in observation table.
5. Select DMM in the range of 0-20V DC .
a. Measure the value of V1 by Keeping +ve and VE terminal of DMM across R1 and
note down the voltage in Observation table V1 practical.
b. Measure the value of V2 by Keeping +ve and VE terminal of DMM across R1 and
note down the voltage in Observation table V2 practical.
c. Measure the value of V3 by Keeping +ve and VE terminal of DMM across R1 and
note down the voltage in Observation table V3 practical.
6. Repeat step 5 for Vs=24V .
7. Verify the KVL
