3. Description
The machine, corresponding to the enclosed drawing (general view), consists of:
Press body of solid welded construction, assembled on pedestal on shock
absorbing feet
Movable suspended operating desk with digital indication, emergency off-switch,
electrical operating buttons and two-hand operation
double acting hydraulic cylinder with integrated rotation stop and perforated piston
rod
hold down / stripper combination with finger protection made of plexiglas
die-holder and holding fixture for punch
X-Y angle frame, easily movable in strong and exact linear guidings
fixation by electro-hydraulic brakes
digital measuring and indication of the X- an Y movements with an indication
accuracy of 0.1 mm and a measuring accuracy of 1 mm
form-fit and non-positive material support and clamping device
hydraulic unit with switchboard cabinet, main switch, oil tank, pump, motor and
switch valves
material support on the left side of the press body to enable easy lifting of the
work-piece
optionally: Laserpointer consisting of Laser diode, point focussed, deld in an
adjustable receptacle as well as electrical fittings for power supply
4. Installation
unpack carefully machine and bypacked parts
make sure that there are no tranportation damages (in case of damages please
contact your forwarder immediately)
check if the 8 screws M 12 (4 per pedestal) between pedestal and press are
strongly tigthened
deposit complete unit by means of crane or fork lift truck on an even surface after
shock absorbing feet have been screwed in
align the unit by adjusting the level of the shock absorbing feet (Use the enclosed
allen key to turn the hexagon socket screw in the feet). The adjustment can be
controlled by means of a water level
remove the transport guard out of the calliper and dismount other transport guards
long shaft (-axis)with screwed-on fence rail should now be inserted carefully into
the guide rollers. Please pay attention not to damage the sensor of the linear
measuring system
screw on the limit disk on the right face of the shaft
push on the angle arm on the right side (Y-axis) and clamp it
screw on the roller foot respectively push it in and adjust so that the angle arm is
horizontal
check the angle of 90 between the X and the Y rails and adjust in case of need
with the 3 threaded pins
put the sliding supports and spanners onto the fence rail
control if the sliding supports and spanners are freely movable on the rails
check the oil level of the hydraulic unit and fill up with hydraulic oil of the viscosity
HLP 46 is necessary
control the hardened guiding profils and rolls, oil carefully thereafter
5. Commissioning of the machine
plug in power supply cable
switch on main switch on the control cabinet
operate push button I (green) on the control desk to check the turning direction of
the motor. Turn the pole changer in the plug if necessary.
check the digital indicator by operating the X and Y movements and the zero
position by means of pushing the control button
check the hydraulic brakes of the axis by operating the two rotary switches on the
left lower side of the control cabinet. There is one rotary switch for the X and the Y
axis.
Please pay attention that the two slides in front of the die bed are closed and
fastened. Punches and Arbors for punches are to be fixed by the hexagon
socket screw in the piston (small allen key enclosed). Some tools, expecially
the bigger diameters, have an additionally hexagon socket screw inside the
punch to be fixed from below into the piston (enclosed big allen key).
Insert workpiece into the fence rail and fix it well-balanced by the sliding supports
Take care that the support slidings are positioned symmetrically
move the co-ordinate angle frame to the end position and now set the indicator to
zero or to the preset value
bring the material to be punched into position. For machines equipped with a laser
pointer (optional, Prod.-No. 03021) please position the workpiece with the center
of the hole to be punched under the laser beam
fixate the X and Y axis in position by operating the two rotary switches on the
control desk
adjust the spring loaded bolts on the hold down by adjusting or turning as near to
the punch as possible
operate the two-han control at the control desk simultaneously. The piston will now
move downwards
the piston will stop immediately, as soon as one of the control buttons is released
by pushing the emergency off button the piston will return to its original position.
Thereafter the emergency off has to be unlocked
when punching the two-hand control is held as long until the hole has been
punched
after having reached the lowest possible position, the piston will return
automatically to its highest position through the electric pressure switch
the way of the return stroke can be limited as desired by the time relay on the
control desk
to move the work piece to a further punching position, release the brake
concerned, move the work piece into the new position and draw the brake tight
again
to change tooling the work piece is lifted up slightly from the support arm or moved
towards the right out of the area of the tools and deposited on the swivel arm right
of the body
if work is interrupted for any length of time, the pump motor should be switched off
by operating the 0-button (red button)
if there is any trouble with the electrics , investigate with the help of the Wiring
