DEMANTRA 12.2.5.

1 INSTALLATION STEPS

This document provided the steps performed to install Demantra 12.2.5.1 .

1. Download Patch 21951481 - DEMANTRA 12.2.5.1 Release from My Oracle Support


2. Double click on setup.exe

3. Click on Configure Log

4. Choose Customer Settings, set up the Log File Name and Log Level.
5. Click on Close button.
6. Click on Install Demantra Spectrum

7. Choose Yes

8. Installer windows is showing up.

9. Click Next

10. Depending if you want to deploy Demantra and/ or engine on Linux / Solaris, choose the
options to deploy
11. Click Next

12. Depending if you want to deploy on Exadata and/or Exalogic, choose the options to deploy
13. Click Next

14. Base on the license, choose the module to install.


15. Click Next.

16. Choose the folder to install.


17. Click Next

18. Choose where you want to have the shortcuts / icons for your Demantra installation.
19. Click Next

20. Choose your oracle client installation.


21. Click Next.

22. Confirm first your connection details using tnsping and sqlplus.

23. Then click Next on Demantra installer screen.

24. Fill in your Demantra schema name and the password

26. Fill in connection details

29. Wait to validate connection details

30. Depending if you DBA ( in this case system user) has SYSDBA privileges, an warning
message can popup

31. Click Next

32. Also you may get an warning related to oracle client version and oracle database version
that can also be ignored
33. Click Next

34. Choose Standard or Customer Application

35. Click Next

36. Choose tablespaces where Demantra objects will reside. Make sure you have enough free
tablespace.
37. Click Next

39. Choose languages.

40. Click Next.

42. Choose Demantra URL
43. Click Next.

45. Choose the email admin or you can set it up later.

46. Click Next.

48. Choose User or Automated Execution
49. Click Next.

50. Click Install

51. Wait for installation to complete

52. Fill in the Demantra users passwords.

Click OK
The installation had completed.
Check the log file for any error messages.
Manually execute sys_grants.sql as mentioned in the last screen shot.

59. Check if you can log into Business Modeler


60. Double click on modeler.exe from D:\manuela\12251\Demand Planner\DeskTop

61. Start up Tomcat that comes with Demantra installation


62. Double click on statup.bat from D:\manuela\12251\Collaborator\Tomcat\bin folder.
63. An window will pop up showing the startup information:

64. We can see that server started up successfully.


65. Log into Collaborator Workbench
66. If the URL provided during the installation was correct, then you can start up CWB by double
click on the icon from D:\manuela\12251\Collaborator\Links
67. On the server, you can also use localhost instead of server name

Installation went fine.


Go to About to confirm the version.
Logout
Stop Tomcat
Install Day-1 patch 21959406 for Demantra 12.2.5.1
Double click on install.exe

74. Click Yes

75. Wait until the screen with patch number is showing up

76. Click Next.

77. Apply the patch on the same folder where you had installed Demantra 12.2.5.1
78. Choose Next.
79. Choose Oracle client installation.

80. Click Next.

81. Fill in connection details.


82. Click Next

83. Click Install

84. Installation of the patch has completed:

Click Done.
Startup Tomcat.
Log into Collaborator Workbench.
Check the version from Collaborator Workbench from About

89. We can see that the patch was applied.

90. version_details_history table is also showing up the 2 installations.
