Executive Summery
Bangladesh has been passing more than three decades after liberation. Since its independence Bangladesh
has been trying to achieve self-reliant future and make the country able in all spheres of development. To
do create such a future he country supposed to take and implement both the financial and development
project efficiently and effectively. Project management involves coordinating various aspects of a project
in order to bring forth a positive result. This coordination can include elements such as personnel,
materials, procedures and facilities. Over the past five to ten years, there have been increasing challenges
faced by Project Managers. Some of the aspects of project management that are particularly challenging
are quality, cost and schedule. There are various other mitigating factors as well; influences that Project
Managers do not have control over. Sometimes these external factors can have as much impact on project
management as the factors that Project Managers can control. We know that Bangladesh is third world
developing country around the world. In Bangladesh various type projects such as economical projects,
Human Resource (HR) projects, social projects, merit projects, construction projects etc. are building and
developing day by day. But in our country projects are not completed properly because of lack problems
and lacking. Economic, political, social, infrastructural, lack of skilled manpower, lack of governments
help, poor control, corruption, etc. reasons are hampering to our developing projects. The impact of
project management is most profound the area of information technology. Project management is not
limited to the private sector. Project management fees also vehicle for doing good deeds and the solving
social problems. Endeavors such as providing emergency aid to a region devastated by a hurricane,
devising a strategy for reducing crime and drug abuse within a city, or organizing a community effort to
renovate public playground would and do benefit from the application of modern project management
skills and techniques. In generally we know that an organization formed to ensure that programs
(projects) receive the proper management and attention which is called the project organization. This type
of organizations have cannot seen in our country. Very narrow amount of project organizations in our
country. For that reason many good projects are cannot suitably ended. But few project organizations
which contribute to help many institutions and companies to do their projects accurately. These
organizations are contributing economic development and bring the prosperity. If our project managers
have more skill and huge knowledge about the technology also regarding their own projects then their
accomplished their projects more accurately. Perhaps the best indicator of the sudden growth and interest
in project Management can be seen in the rapid expansion of the Project Management, Institute (PMI), a
professional organization for project management specialists. In the present time Bangladesh has to take
successful project management strategy to overcome the challenges of the 21 st century to becoming a
developing country by identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
