To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure I write this letter of recommendation for Emily Sill. I most gladly and
enthusiastically recommend Emily for employment as a classroom teacher or any similar position
for which she may apply. Emily is the kind of student who is unfortunately all too rare; she is a
superb scholar, an outstanding leader, and a kind and caring individual.
I have had the good fortune of getting to know Emily during the 2016-2017 school year.
Throughout this time Emily was a Practicum Student in the University of Arizonas College of
Education program. I served as her Mentor Teacher while she was in the program. Throughout
this time, Emily exceeded my expectations. Emily is a warm and caring individual who shows
mature and genuine respect for others; including children and adults. Throughout the semester she
approached her teaching and school sponsored events with enthusiasm and was contentious of her
responsibilities. She often went above and beyond the call of her programs requirements and
took the lead in things she wished to accomplish. Emily was able to navigate her way through
difficult situations and handle them with integrity and respect, thus cementing her as a trusted role
model among the students and her peers.
Emily is a conscientious student with an unsurpassed work ethic; she truly earned each and every
one of her outstanding grades. I was continually impressed by her ability to balance school, work,
and personal responsibilities with ease. Outside the classroom Emily is heavily involved in
campus life, as a member of the Bobcats Senior Honorary, a University of Arizona Tour Guide,
and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Through these clubs, she is able to show her
commitment to her community and her desire to be involved. These experiences have allowed
Emily to gain a plethora of relevant experience and applicable knowledge, which she would bring
into her classroom. But beyond experience and knowledge, Emily also has the passion and
purpose needed to succeed in a demanding profession.
I believe Emily is an ideal candidate for a teaching position, as she has the intellect, work ethic,
and time management skills that are necessary to handle a rigorous workload. But most of all, I
believe Emily will someday make an outstanding Teacher. If my child were to be in her
classroom, she is the kind of individual I would want leading my son or daughters education, a
seal of approval I do not offer light heartedly.
By hiring Emily at your school you are guaranteed to have a leader, a scholar, and an individual
who will undoubtedly contribute immensely to the field of education.
Sincerely,

Kirsten Kingsley
