Prayer List Policy

SAVE THE DATE!

This list is a noble tradition of keeping relatives or

friends, who are sick and in need of healing. We
believe the power of communal prayer is greater than
the individual one. We appreciate being advised when
the prayer has been granted so the name can be
removed from the list. Due to the amount of space available in
the bulletin and the number of people requesting to be included
on this list, the standard time for any given name to remain on
the list is 2 months. We reserve the right to add or delete any
name at our discretion based on the circumstance listed above.
Note: The names below listed in red will be deleted in next
weekends bulletin. Please call the church office by January 24
if you would like the name to remain on the list for the next 2
months. Thank you.

Confirmation for Adults and

Lifeteen Youth
Confirmation for adults and Lifeteen youth is scheduled
for 6 pm, Saturday, July 8th, 2017, at St. John
Neumann with Archbishop Gustavo presiding. To
prepare those seeking Confirmation there will be six
sessions beginning Sunday Jan 22nd, 2017. After that,
the preparation sessions will be Feb 5th, Feb 19th, Mar
5th, Mar 19th, and Apr 2nd 2017. Confirmandi are
expected to attend all six Sunday sessions from 1:30 PM to 3:00
PM in the Parma Room.
During the sessions we will view videos and talk among each other
about prayer; lifes choices and Gods plan for you; The Holy
Spirit, as well as the sacrament of Confirmation. Registration is
required. Please contact the Church office at 210-654-1643 for
further information.
The 2017 Archbishops Appeal
Campaign has begun. The theme for
this year is Disciples, Sent By the Spirit.
The Archdiocese Archbishop's Appeal
goal is $4,500,000. Our parish goal is
$44,275.00. This week you will receive
a letter from Archbishop Gustavo
requesting your participation in the 2017 Archbishops appeal. Please
respond to his request by praying how you and your family can provide a
gift to this years Appeal. Your gift to the Appeal will provide housing and
basic necessities for the homeless, education and spiritual formation for
seminarians and deacons, and evangelization and education initiatives for
youth, young adults and families in our archdiocese. Your generous gift to
the Appeal can be made by filling out the pledge card send to your home or
at your parish. Once completed, place your Appeal pledge card in the
offertory during Mass. Gifts can also be made online at www.archsa.org/
archbishops-appeal or over the phone with the Appeal Office at 210-7341604. Thank you for your generosity.

en la Campaa 2017 del Arzobispo. Por favor responda a su peticin orando

Spectacular 2017:Sent by the
Spirit to be held on February 4, 2017 at St.
Marys University. The Spectacular will feature
dynamic keynote speaker Joel Stepanek,
inspiring talks in English and Spanish and a
concert by Ike Ndolo. The Spectacular will close
with Mass presided by Archbishop Gustavo. The

.The Week of Prayer for
Christian Unity has a
history of over 100 years ,
in which Christians around
the world have taken part in
an octave of prayer for
visible Christian unity. By
annually observing the
WPCU, Christians move
toward the fulfillment of
Jesus' prayer at the Last
Supper "that they all may be
one." (cf. John 17:21)
We are all invited to be
united in prayer.
The Zumba instructor is trained to explain little with
words, she uses her body and hand motions to indicate
which steps will follow, to keep class plans flowing and
easy-to-follow. Come burn calories and improve your
cardio conditioning. Call the church office to sign up or
simply show up. Note: Depending on facility
availability, we will either use the Religious education Building or
the Popes room located in the Family Center so, please check the
bulletin on This week in our Parish for the location posted that day.
