IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL INFORMATION:

200 VOLTS MINIMUM, 235 MAXIMUM. 208 215 IS OPTIMAL VOLTAGE. VOLTAGE
IN EXCESS OF 240 MAY CAUSE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE MACHINES
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND WILL VOID THE MACHINE WARRANTY.
If your power supply is more than 235 VAC, you must have 15 KVA a transformer
(isolation). It is the responsibility of your electrician to install the transformer.

PRE-INSTALLATION PACKAGE
Buck and Boost Transformers are not acceptable for Fanuc Wire EDM machines. The
use of this type of transformer will void the warranty on the machine.
Methods EDM has a multiple tap 2 winding transformer available. If you are having a
difficult time locating an acceptable 2 winding transformer, ours is tapable for incoming
line voltage up to 480 volts.
*Please check with your State and Local government for Grounding Rod regulations.
We require that you have a qualified electrician connect the source power to the
machine, BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTSANCES TURN ON MACHINE POWER. Leave
the fuses out of the junction box or verify that the fuseless circuit breaker is OFF. Our
engineer will check phase rotation and set the necessary INTERNAL transformer taps at
time of machine installation.

WATER REQUIREMENTS:
Water should be easily accessible. Machine requires 127 gallons of water. Tap water is
usually used for this, however, if your water contains chlorine or is Hard water, please
consider distilled water.

AIR REQUIREMENTS:
80 P.S.I @ 5 C.F.M. volume (driers recommended if you have moisture in your air)

INSTALLATION:
Once the machine is in place on the leveling pads with the necessary electrical line
and/or air in place, please contact Methods EDM or your local distributor to arrange for
installation.

Please note: It is not recommended to do Hard Drop lines until after installation
of machine is completed.
