relies on innova on capability. As the one of the fastest developing business, pharmaceu cal
industries in the world are growing rapidly, especially in Indonesia. The growth of the
pharmaceu cal market in Indonesia is increasing every year and this condi on makes
Indonesia transforming as a new growing market in Asia.
Rapid changes in the economic and trade poses many challenges to the Indonesian
pharmaceu cal industries, including win the compe on and become the market leader.
Nowadays, theres a lot of Indonesian pharmaceu cal industries seek to accelerate the
advancement of industries to overseas market. One of which is with performances and
exhibi ons held in many countries around the world. In line with that, Indonesian government
has declared its inten on to promote the Indonesian pharmaceu cal industries.

Bio Farma is a state owned enterprise established in August 6, 1890 in Jakarta under
the name of Parc Vaccinogene. In 1923, it moved to the present site in Bandung,
capital city of West Java province in the Republic of Indonesia. Bio Farma since its
early establishment has played an important role as the only institute in Indonesia
producing vaccines and antisera. One of the specific tasks of Bio Farma is the
production of vaccines for the national immunization program particularly against
diphtheria, pertussis/whooping cough, tetanus, BCG, polio, measles, Hib and
hepatitis B. The availability of assured quality vaccines contributes to the success of
Indonesia in eradicating smallpox and reaching Universal Child Immunization (UCI).
Bio Farma is the only vaccine producer of Indonesia, dedicating all its resources in
producing international-standard vaccines and antisera in support of the national
immunization program towards realizing better health for the people of Indonesia.
Bio Farma is one of some 23 vaccine manufacturers in the world that have obtained
the WHO (World Health Organization) Prequalification Certification. Following WHO
Prequalification status, Bio Farma has been expanding since 1997 to market its
products to overseas markets and currently exports to more than 126 countries.
Entering its 123rd year, Bio Farma is highly optimistic about its prospects of sustained
growth to become a globally-competitive vaccine and antisera producer.
Bio Farma is licensed to manufacture vaccines and antisera using biotechnological
processes. Vaccines and antisera manufactured by Bio Farma are as follow :

moisturizer or others. The last had been supplied by Immortal Cosmedika Indonesia

Indonesia, the need for various kind of drugs emerging not only for dermatologic
disease, but also other kind of diseases in internal medicine, the ENT, etc. So, starting
within the mid of 2008 the premises was build and completely finished around 20
months later. It took more than a year for the completion of industrial permit
including the cGMP certification.
Now registration of many products is ongoing process and waiting for the granted
permission to marketed our products in the market by the food and drugs regulatory
agency. Also we have a commitment to produce a high quality drugs with known
safety profile through a well manage system. We are creating an integrative
management system under the ISO requirement. It is a new start for a new
pharmaceutical company to hold the ISO certification for quality, environment, safety
as well as the pharma GMP at once from the very early of its operational system. For
this reason, we are now on ongoing process registration of various kinds of products
and asking for the ISO provider to start with the inspection on our premises, system
and instrument.

1951, Nicholas Pty Ltd began manufacturing one of its best known produtcs ASPRO
at its new factory in Jakarta.
Between 1963 and 1968, the company engaged in contract manufacturing for Pfizer
of the United State. In 1971, the company entered into a production and marketing
agreement with Parke Davis & Co of the United States. The arrangement continued
until 1975, at which time the Indonesian company now renamed PT Nicholas
Laboratories Indonesia formed by a joint venture with an Indonesian partner.
In 1989, all of the shares of Nicholas Pty Ltd of Australia were sold to PT Kebayoran
Pharma, an Indonesian company. Thus, PT Nicholas Laboratories Indonesia achieved
domestic investment status and became part of the Kebayoran Pharma Group.
In 1991, PT Nicholas Laboratories Indonesia relocated its manufacturing operations
to a new factory in Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung. All production now takes
place within this complex, which meets strict internationally recognized cGMP
standards. Since then, the range of ethical products manufactured and marketed by

The factory was designed in accordance with modern pharmaceutical Factory and
meeting PIC/s-GMP requirements. PT Tanabe Indonesia got 7 GMP Certificates in
October 2010 from BPOM for Non-Antibiotic Coated Tablet, Antibiotic Coated Tablet,
Non-Antibiotic Hard Capsule, Antibiotic Hard Capsule, Non-Antibiotic Injection,
Antibiotic Injection, and Non-Antibiotic Sustained Release Capsule. PT. Tanabe
Indonesia has been supplying the finished products for the domestic market and
export to Asian countries (including Japan) and South America. Since January 12,
2003, PT. Tanabe Indonesia, reached the Golden Flag from President of Republic
Indonesia as one of the best company which implemented Occupational Safety &
Health Management System. Based on periodical audit, every 3 years the Company
receives it, and the latest one was received on May 20, 2011. Since March 4, 2004, PT.
Tanabe Indonesia reached the ISO 14001:1996 Certificate from TV Cert Certification
