Instruction Manual - USB DIY Cable
SUUNTO Dive Computers

At first, please install the Driver Software on your PC.

1. Browse the CD. Locate and install Driver.

2. Run the Driver installer program (before plugging in the USB

cable), Install Driver.

3. Connect the Cable with a free USB Port. (The Dive Computer is
not connected in this moment.)
4. Check in Device Manager if the driver is detected, note of which
port is (in my case COM 5).

5. Install the program Subsurface for your operating system (Win

32 or 64 bit) including in the CD.

6. Run the Subsurface, select Import, than Import from dive

computer.

7. Select the make and model, select COM port which is

recognized USB-Serial CH340 in my case COM 5 (for each
computer is different).
8. Put your dive computer into PC transfer MODE as described in
your dive computer manual.

9. Connect the cable with the Dive computer. Carefully clean the
PC interface pins and the water sensor contacts of your Dive
computer with a soft eraser or dry cloth. Secure the clip, making
sure, that it is securely attached.

10. Tab (OK) to datatransfer from your dive computer to your PC.
Make sure, that the Dive computer is connected before you start.

Do not move or touch your dive computer and interface while

transmitting, because any movements may interrupt the transfer
and you have to start all over again.
After 5 minutes of no data transfer activity the dive computer will
return to time mode.
