M.O.P {Muriate of Potash}

Gmelina Arborea (Tamil :Kumil) (7)

Grewia Tiliifolia (Tamil: Thadasu) (1)
Haldinia Cardifolia (Tamil : Manja Kadambu ) (1)
Melia Dubia ( Tamil: Malai Vembu ) (15)

Example: If you want to give 50 Kgs of N in the form of UREA, then calculate as :
50 x 2.17 = 108.5 Kgs.
Example II: If you want to give 33 Kgs of N and 85 Kgs of P, through D.A.P then calculate
as: For N = 33 x 5.56 = 183 Kgs. For P = 85 x 2.17 = 185 Kgs.
So, applying 185 Kgs of D.A.P will meet both the N & P requirements of the crop.

Pigeon pea / Red gram / Thuvarai cultivation (2)

Pterocarpus Santalinus (Tamil : Santhana Vengai) (2)
Rose Wood - Clarification (3)
Soil Science - Basic Knowledge (3)

Example III: If you want to give 50 Kgs of N and 85 Kgs of P then calculate as:

Timber plantations (9)

P thro D.A.P = 85 x 2.17 = 185 Kgs.

Tree Growers Association (9)

N quantity in 185 Kgs of D.A.P = 185 / 5.56 = 33 Kgs.

(Total Requirement of N 50 - 33 of N in 185 Kgs of DAP = 17 kgs of deficit N}
This deficit N can be supplemented by adding Urea. (Urea = 17 x 2.17 = 37 Kgs.)
So, we have to mix DAP 185 Kgs and Urea 37 Kgs to meet 50 Kgs of N and 85 Kgs of P
requirements of the crop.

Dear Mr.Vishnu Sankar, We have seen your comments made on
'TCPL Component of TBGP project'. Necessary actions are being
taken to implement the TCPL Component in better manner at
our level. Thanks for your observation made on the TBGP project.

Dear Vishnu Sankar, .....Very interesting to go through your blog.
Trees are money spinners to the farmers at present. It is only the
right type of tree species for the right place and silvicultural
packages can do so. (Click: Money Spinning Trees) Contact me
with full details on soil, rainfall, water source, resource
availability etc., and i could suggest trees that could spin money in
these areas. Thank you, From, K.Suresh, Prof & Head, Dept. of
Agroforestry, Forest College & Research Institute, Mettupalayam
641 003, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India.
Dear Mr.Sankar, I have seen your message on energy plantation
and thanks for the promotional efforts. (For more info: Click 1
and Click 2.) To add to your view,I wish to inform that Forest
college has already designed contract farming models exclusively
for dendrobiomass based power generation. These modes are
now successfully implemented through Auromira energy
company now slowly. With kind regards, Dr. K. T. Parthiban,
Ph. D., Associate Professor (Forestry), Forest College and
Research Institute, Mettupalayam 641 003, Coimbatore,
