Greetings!
I am Naresh Penchalaiah Pathipati. I am an Engineer with comprehensive professional experience in
Networks and Security. My core professional competencies are Information, data and cyber security.
My work experience includes companies like SunGard Availability services where I worked from Oct
2015 till Jan 02 2017. My role in this company was troubleshooting Network, Security and access
control issues to keep the data secure and confidential.
Working in this company enabled me to work in Security technologies like IDS, IPS, Firewalls, Load
balancers, VPN and Endpoint Security. I developed a keen interest and passion for this line of work.

Family Background
I belong to a family which inculcates in its children: the importance of progressive career building. My
father works as a Supervisor in Central government of India. He has imbibed in me a spirit of planning
and focus in the direction of my aims. He has supported me in achieving my objectives.
My family chose to admit me in a school where Computer related subjects were taught well. They knew
the importance of it even when it was a budding profession in India. That is why this stream never felt
alien to me. Ive trained in it right from childhood. I am grateful to my family for their foresight. Their
dream, still is for me to receive superior grade education in my chosen line of work.

Why this line of work?

As the whole world is going digital and with booming e-commerce, the need for Information Security is
a matter of utmost importance to everyone. With my desire for Information Security combined with my
strong background of Networks and IT Security, I would like to create an environment which would be
solid, secure and safe from vulnerabilities. There is nothing else Id rather do. Ive streamlined my entire
academic and professional profile to reflect my core focus.
Pursuing Post Graduate in Information Security Management at Fanshawe College will allow me to
expand my mind and improve my professional prospects.

Within the IT industry, a Post-graduation is seen as a necessity for professional progression. The
education which I will get at Fanshawe College will definitely help me find my niche in this field. With
the growing prominence of Internet in India, and the associated job prospects, my education would place
me strategically with regards to these opportunities. I also want to create employment for my fellow
countrymen by gaining a next-level understanding of this line of work.

Why not anyplace else?

During my enquiry about advanced studies, I found Canada to be one of the most suitable option for
me, as the concept of Canadian education fully catered to my needs. After a lot of research, I found out
that the coursework in Fanshawe College exactly fits my wants. I had applied to them and they were
generous enough to give me an offer letter.
Canada, as a country has always appeared to be a progressive one. It is full of humanity and
opportunities. The feedback from my seniors and friends over there has always been a very positive
one. Canadian Universities and colleges are conducive to learning for International students. There is
also an added advantage of no bias and no racism. All in all, its a family masquerading as a Country.
I am completely convinced and confident about studying in Canada. My dream is to be a competent
and well-rounded network/security engineer. I will be thankful to Canada if I get to pursue a holistic
network security course there.

I chose Fanshawe College as my option because the faculty and the infrastructure are the best anybody
could ask for, making it the ideal institution for me to pursue my advanced academic path. I believe that
the right mix of people and facilities are the only difference between mediocrity and finesse. Fanshawe
is one of the largest and most reputed colleges in Canada. It has the best state of the art facilities &
very strong curriculum. Most importantly, their faculty consists of the most proficient people in their area
of work.
Fanshawe's Information Security Management program will help me develop the academic footing I
need to pursue a quality-oriented body of work in the IT Industry. I will learn about risk analysis, network
security and vulnerability testing. Writing security policies, implementing access controls, and performing
security audits will also be a major part of the course.
Technology becomes manifold in effectiveness when the strength of efficient people is combined with it.
I will also learn the importance of people skills that are critical for working with clients, evaluating their
needs and offering security advice. I wish to develop the skills to identify how a business is vulnerable,
and how to best safeguard its information.

Language Capabilities
I have secured overall 7.5 in IELTS. The medium of instruction throughout school and college was English.
Ive had the Honor of getting educated at fine institutions. It is evident that I have the English language
abilities to study in Canada.

Future Prospects and Plans

After completing my study, I intend to come back to India. One strong reason being; I am the only son
of my parents, I owe my future to them. Its my responsibility to take care of them. Also, in the coming
years, I wish to help my family with my younger sisters career and wedding.
I want to utilize the knowledge and skills gained from Fanshawe College, for further development of
Information technology and security in my country. I aspire to work as an Advanced Network/Security
Engineer for the best in the business. I strongly feel that pursuing Post Graduation in Information Security
Management from this Canadian Institution can provide a power-packed foundation for a respectable
career.
India displays a need for more contributors in the areas of Information, data and cyber security. And
therefore, gaining a Post-Graduate diploma in this field from Fanshawe, Canada will help me boost my
professional skills, providing me with opportunities to do much better work in my country. I also feel that
after gaining scientific, exhaustive and cutting-edge exposure from Fanshawe, it would be my time to
pay back to the nation I was born in and to my parents who would look forward to my return.

I believe that perseverance and persistence can help achieve any goal. Hence, despite the rejection for
a Student Permit Visa, I am reapplying and requesting you to reconsider my application. I would like to
assure you that my motive is undergoing progressive education, in order to add substance to my career
and life.
I hope that the Canadian high commission will invest confidence in my abilities and provide me with the
opportunity to learn at this Noble Country.
