PRECISION HEAT AND CONTROL

Chromalox is a truly global player in the Process

industries both in terms of its design and
manufacturing capabilities and even more
importantly in its ability to build Electric Process
Heaters and Control Systems to meet the codes
and standards required by process industries
across the world.

Electric heaters offer a number of key features that should

be considered when deciding on the best solution for
heating the Process.
The source of heat is electrical power therefore there are
no emissions to pollute the atmosphere allowing
compliance with environmental legislation.

Electrical Heating is extremely efficient with little to no

power factor and 99% of the heat being imparted
directly to the process fluid.

Electric Heaters are compact and can be installed at the

point of application within the process plant in a safe or
hazardous area.

Electric Heaters can heat the process to 700C with

conventional elements and to much higher temperatures
with Boron Nitride insulated elements or impedance
(TPC) technology.

Electric heaters are low maintenance pieces of

equipment. Once commissioned little attention is
required.

The control of the heater is one of the fundamental

benefits where highly accurate temperature control
benefits the process and the amount of energy
consumed.

The electric element has a life in excess of 100.000

hours for most applications.

Electric heaters are built to international codes and

standards from a vast range of metallic alloys.
