PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
THIRTY-SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT
DELAWARE COUNTY COURT OF COMMON PLEAS
Media, Pennsylvania
Trial Court Judge.
Elected by the citizens of Delaware County to a ten-year term and sworn into
office on January 3, 2012.
Currently heads and serves in the Civil Trial Section which handles civil and
equity matters, including, but not limited to: medical malpractice cases;
contractual matters; personal injury and property damage cases; real estate, land
use and zoning matters.
Over the last five years, has presided over 120 jury and/or non-jury trials as well
as miscellaneous motions, petitions and pre-trial matters for assigned cases.
While handling civil trials and assigned civil caseload, simultaneously served as
the Pre-Trial Judge responsible for deciding over 800 pre-trial motions and
petitions from 2013-2016 (including dispositive motions) for unassigned cases.
While serving in the Civil Trial Section in 2012, was also assigned to the Motion
Hearing Section (presiding over miscellaneous civil motions, petitions, license
suspension appeals and summary appeals) and the Juvenile Section, handling over
739 Juvenile Court matters.
APPOINTMENTS
JUDICIAL CONDUCT BOARD OF PENNSYLVANIA
(Nov. 2014 present)
Appointed by Governor Tom Corbett to a four-year term on the state Judicial Conduct
Board to review, investigate and, when necessary, prosecute complaints of judicial
misconduct to safeguard the honor, integrity and independence of Pennsylvanias judges
and to preserve the public confidence in Pennsylvanias judiciary.
PENNSYLVANIA SUPREME COURT DISCIPLINARY BOARD HEARING
COMMITTEE
(Jan. 2004 June 2010)
Appointed to a six-year term on a state Disciplinary Board Hearing Committee to hear
cases, review files, and issue opinions on attorney disciplinary matters in Pennsylvania.

ELECTED OFFICES
COURT OF COMMON PLEAS JUDGE
With three (3) positions on the ballot, received highest number of votes in the
primary and general elections for county commissioner. Elected to Council in
November 2007 and sworn into office in January 2008.
Elected Vice Chairman in January 2010.
Councilperson with direct oversight responsibility for the County Solicitors
Office, Public Defenders Office, Courts Office of Judicial Support, Planning
Department, Delaware County Soil and Conservation District, Parks and
Recreation Department and Delaware County Womens Commission.
Worked with county and court officials to aid in future implementation of
electronic filing and electronic case management in the Office of Judicial Support.
Improved County's website with faster and more reliable access, additional
printable documents and forms, and easier access to court dockets.
Preserved the historically and environmentally significant 46.2 acre "Mineral
Hill" property in Middletown Township, which became Delaware County's 12th
park, without expending County tax dollars.
Founded the County's Energy and Environmental Advisory Board that established
goals and policies for increasing energy efficiency, conserving natural resources
and saving tax dollars; and spearheaded the creation of the County's "Green
Pages," an Internet resource for energy and environmental-related developments,
information and programs.
Instrumental in obtaining nearly $3.7 million in federal energy efficiency grant
funds used for an extensive solar project on the County Government Center, an
energy audit, energy efficiency improvements at the County prison, and a
municipal grant program.

Received highest number of votes in the primary and general elections for each
term. Elected to two four-year terms to represent the entire Township.
