INVESTIGATION FOR SAFE CITY PROJECT

GENERAL
The site area is situated on Coordinates (E: 74.29455 N: 31.55865) and ground elevation
201m (By GPS) at Umar Hospital Sanda Raj Ghar, LHR. The site level is 0.20m below from
nearest road level. On the basis of field work and our past experience, the following
recommendations are made for Geotechnical Investigation Report for Safe city Project.
INTERIM RECOMMENDED ALLOWABLE BEARING CAPACITY
The recommended allowable bearing capacity of subsoil on which proposed structure is
going to be constructing is given on the basis of field work.

It is suggested that either isolated /spread or raft footing may be constructed for the safe
design of foundation.
The site level is 0.20 below from nearest road level.
During soil investigation one borehole drilled up to the depth of 5.0m. At BH # 01, (Filling
Material 0.0-0.20m) strata are Brown Silt with trace concretion, pieces of bricks, grass
roots, wrapers. At depth 0.20-5.0m Silty Sand, Brown, Medium Dense, Moist.
Ground Water Table (GWT) was not encountered up to the depth of 5.0m, during the period
of investigation.

The foundation soil should be compacted prior to laying the footing for firm setting at least
upto 90% of maximum dry density (MMD).
Efficient drainage system should be ensured to avoid seepage into the foundation soil.
