A STUDY ON STUDY HABIT INVENTORY

ABSTRACT
Inventory is specially designed to seek answers about the persona nd his
personality. In the inventory, the questions are addressed to the to the first
person. The items covet many area of personal life such as health, psycho
symptoms, neurological, occupational etc. the inventory is essentially a clinical
instrument and requiring considerable psychological sophistication for proper
interpretation.

INTRODUCTION
It is essentially a blundered set of questions for aself-appraisal or self
reporting. He consists of statements or questions about personal charestristics,
feeling, worries, lear, preterences, lack of confidence and the like. It is very
similar to questionnaires it is approaches applied to learning. It is dealing with
assessment for proper guidance in making proper personal adjustment. These
approach/strategy are the most important skills to master to get good grades.
The technique of student skills can be learned, in a shoot time and applied to all
or most fields of bloodying these must therefore a distinguished from strategies
that are specific to a particular field of study. Student skill not only helps us do
well become overwhjel;med and discouraged. These skills is casually be learned
in a short time and applied to every grades level in every subset. We just have
to be persistent are practicing and using these skills until then become second
nature to us. Some of the benefits of improved study skills are reduced lest
anxiety, increased confidence, compilence and self esteem. We will realize that
good grades are not always achieved through studying ton hours. The inventory

IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY


Study skills are approaches and strategies we are in learning. There are
the most important skills to master to get good grades. Having study skills not only
helps as succeed, accademically, is a will also helps us do well in life.
Without effective study skill we will become overwhelmed and
discouraged. The good news is that these skills can usually be learned in a short time
and applied to every grade level in every subject. We just to have to be persistent at
practicing and using these skills until they become second nature to us.
Some of the benefits of improved study skill are reduced else anxiety,
increased confidence, competence and self esteem. We will realize that good grades
are not always achieved through studying long hours. We can cut down on the number
of hours we study by studying efficiently through knowing how to study. Once we
learn these skills, we will be well on our way to becoming he successful student .

The main objectives are following:

To build knowledge acquiring facts and information
To identify the pupil who need audience in making proper personal
adjustment.

This questionnaire has 52 items on the aspects of study skill. It measures
ones organization

of time, soal setting, ability to concentrate, learning

methods and obvstractes of effective study. Ie. Has been formulated in English.
Test retest reliability based on a sample of 5 high school students drawn from
Govt. model High school, Muvattupuzha. These response to each statement is
either Yes or No.
Procedure/Method
The following instruction may given to the model, this questionnaire has
52 statements. It is related to hours your sluan and the problems you ma be true
in studying. Read the statement in the questionnaire carefully and answer others

yes or No against each statement in the appropriate column. There is no right


of wrong answers. The answer all be kept confidential and will be used only for
research. No not omit any item or question.

Discussion
Study skill inventory are approaches and succulent used in learning. it is a
psychochemical test to detecting the learning behaviour and reasons of the
pupils. Both teachers and pupils participated in these test. In this test was
conduct don 10th standard in model HSS Muvattupuzha including 5 students.
Questionnaire is the materials which is applied in test.

CONCLUSION
Study habit inventory is a psychological test which is used to critically
evaluate their own personality characteristics. From this inventory concluded
that it is a technique which draw the learning habit of students in class room. As
a result of the method helps to identify the pupils who need Guidance in
making learning personality.
