CREATIVE SPECS

CREATIVE ASSETS SUBMISSION

This format consists of one Flash file:

Required files:

Main banner
Initial dimensions: 970px 250px
Collapsed dimensions: 88px 31px
ActionScript version: 2.0 or 3.0
Maximum file weight: 100 kb
Up to 2.2MB are accepted for non-UI secondary
downloads. Unless the secondary download is
video, it must already be programmed by the
creative agency when submitting assets.
If the creative includes video, follow the submission
guidelines on page 6.

Source FLA files.


Compiled SWF files.
Used fonts for MS Windows platform.
All external media (video, sound, images, xml, etc.)
that the ad unit loads into it.
All external Actionscript class files and external
libraries used by the ad unit.
970px 70px alternate image (GIF or JPEG under
40 kb).
FLA files are required so as to confirm all code is
compatible with our platform, enabling full reporting.
Every font used is required, preferarbly for PC but
also for the OS in which the assets were built. If not
possible, create an FLA file copy and convert all text
objects to vectors.

HOW IT WORKS
Initial stage (970250):
The billboard experience is initiated automatically,
pushing down the content of the site. An always visible
Close button will be displayed in the upper right corner
of the ad. If the user clicks on the Close button, the
billboard disappears pushing page content up. Only the
Show Ad button remains at the right hand side of the
ad area.

Collapsed stage (8831)


Once the Billboard is closed, the Show Ad button
remains. The Billboard can be closed and re-opened as
many times as desired.

The transition between these two stages should be


as seamless as possible so as to help the user to
associate them with one another.

SPECIFICATIONS
All Flash files must be published in Flash Player 9 or
higher.
Flash frame rate must not exceed 30FPS and must
not be under 18FPS.
Idle CPU usage typically falls within 8-12%. When
testing a flash file for this ad, CPU usage after the
initial loading of the file must be between 20% and
30%. An initial spike of up to 60% is acceptable
in the first five seconds (Idle CPU usage devised
upon computer with a 1.8GHz Intel Pentium
Processor and 512 MB of RAM running standard
programs).
The unit must have a prominent close button in the
font size of 16pt.
The unit can only expand downwards.
A small loading animation (pie loader) is required for
all user-initiated loads of external content, including
additional Flash files, videos, sounds, etc.
Animation must be limited to 15 seconds. Can loop
if within 15-second limit.

Elements animating constantly are not allowed.


Non-looping animation on rollover is permitted
in a single Call-To-Action area not to exceed 20%
of the total ad unit area.
Initial size ad creative and all light colored creative
must feature a 1 pixel border (gray [#666666] or
black recommended, though any color that clearly
distinguishes the ad from the content may be used).

VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The use of the Video Player component available in Admotion CS is required.

Video progress bar (not user-controlled) with play/


pause and mute/unmute buttons.
Video can be automatically launched the first time
but video replay is only allowed on user click.
Audio experiences must always be user-initiated
on click only and must have an audio on/off toggle
button always available.
Advertisement audio must be paused on panel click
through for landing pages containing non-UI audio.

Suggestions

Volume control, time scrubber and replay button are


suggested but not required.

(*) Note
If the above formats are not available, please provide AVI, MPG or MOV video
files with maximum possible resolution and highest quality available. These
files will then be converted to the supported formats.
