1. SCOPE
The manual outlines, in detail, all the waste generated by KAEFER. The manual is devised to
guide personnel on the procedure to be followed in safe disposal of waste.
2. WASTE DEFINITION
Waste is any substance which has been discarded or is intended to be discarded. Physical forms
of the waste may be

4. HAZARDOUS WASTE DEFINITION

Hazardous Waste is defined as any waste that is harmful or toxic to health / life. Hazardous
Waste exhibit one or more of the following characteristics:

5. WASTE GENERATOR
Departments who are the users of respective raw material, substances, equipment etc. are the
designated waste generators.
6. DISPOSAL PLACE
Non Hazardous Waste
Non Hazardous waste except for the metal scrap is sent to Municipality dump yard in Musaffah.
The scrap to be collected in the designated waste bins and upon sufficient collection be loaded
on closed trailers for dumping at Municipality scrap yard.

All metal scrap is sold off to the scarp yard for recycling. Scrap to be segregated and placed in
the designated bins. Once sufficient scrap is collected, load the scrap on trailer and sent to scrap
yard for recycling.
Hazardous Waste
All recyclable waste in this category like cartridges is to be sent for recycling.
All other scrap that can not be recycled to be disposed of using ERWDA approved agencies.
