3. Ifa says that at the initial stage of his life things will not be that rosy
for him. All what he will be getting will not be commensurable with
his inputs. There is the need for you to inquire from Ifa what he will
need to propitiate his Ori so that it will assist him in all his
endeavors. However, you also need to offer ebo for him with emu
(palm-wine), Oguro (raffia palm-wine), banana, sugar cane, aadun

(roasted corn-flour that had been mixed with palm oil), liquor,
kolanuts, bitter kola and money. On this, Ifa says;

Sweetness is for the banana
Sweetness is for sugarcane

These were Ifas pronouncements to Olori-ayan-n-yan tan (the
one who had completely chosen his destiny)
When going to choose destiny for wealth, spouse, children
e.t.c. at Barapetus place
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
I have chosen the destiny of financial success, good spouse,
children and all good things of life
I also chose longevity as well
Ogunda-Rosun, Awo is giving thanks

4. Ifa advises you to train your child to always give thanks to his Ori every
morning for its support in all his endeavors. This underscores the
apical position and significance among all divinities. Therefore,
praises and supplications must be directed to Ori. Ori is the only one
that stays and remains when other divinities have retreated.
However, there is the need for you to propitiate his Ori for him with
whatever Ifa dictates. On this, Ifa says;
Afefe legelege nii bido laipon
Efuufu legelege nii yawe agbagba yarayara
Dia fun Ori
Ti ntorun bo wale aye
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gbebo, o rubo
O ni bi e ba ji laaro kutukukutu

Afefe legelege nii bido laipon
Efuufu legelege nii yawe agbagba yarayara
This was Ifas declarations to Ori
When coming from heaven to earth
He was advised to offer ebo

It was declared that whenever we wake-up early in the
morning
It is ones Ori that one ought to greet
It is ones Ori that one needs to supplicate
Ones Ori is ones good luck

5. Ifa says that you need to offer ebo for your child for accomplishment
over a property development in future. Ifa says that people will think
that he will not be able to accomplish it, but unfortunately for them,
he will not only complete the property, he will also become an
important personality in that area. Ifa advises you to put his mind at
rest and train him to know that accomplishment shall be his.
However, you are advised to offer ebo for him with 4 pigeons, 4
hens, 4 roosters and money. You also need to propitiate Ifa for him
with fish. Propitiating the Oro cult should not also be left out. On
this, Ifa says;
Kikun loyun omi
Opaa taba nii sofun imoran lakaliki-lakaliki
Onile etido nii ri ere eja je
Dia fun Oode firifiri
Tii somo Onikaa kan akopari
Ebo ni won ni ko se
O gbebo, o rubo
Odide firifiri omo Oloro ni o

Translation:
Fullness represents the pregnancy of a river
Tobacco pipe makes the smokers larynx to move up and down
The one whose house is erected near the stream is he who
gets more fish to consume than others

These were Ifas declarations to Odide firifiri, the miniature bat

The offspring of he who built a house to completion
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
Odide firifiri, you are a child of Oro devotees
All houses now belong to Odide

6. Ifa advises you to offer ebo for your child for victory against
wrongful allegations. Ifa says that in future, there may be attempts
to implicate him and accuse him of what he knows nothing about.
You are advised to train this child to be more careful and to offer the
prescribed ebo by the Awo for him. He must also be very careful to
steer clear of using his own hands to drag himself into avoidable
trouble. On this, Ifa says;
Gbaa leyin ilekun
Bi ko ba se tole
A se ti fenifeni o
Dia fun Momo
Ti yoo fran mora a re lorun
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O koti ogbonhin sebo

If not made by a thief
It will be made by a secret lover
This was Ifas declaration to Momo
Who shall implicate himself over an issue he knew nothing about
He was advised to offer ebo
He refused to comply
Cant you see Momo
Who had implicated himself over an issue he knew nothing about

7. This stanza also advises you to offer ebo of victory over adversaries
for your child. Ifa says that in future, he will be surrounded by
several enemies. If this ebo is offered ahead of time, all the efforts
of his adversaries against him shall be to no avail. Ebo materials:
leopards head, snakes head, ina leaves, three roosters and money.
On this, Ifa says;

Nii mo tonhun tonhun
Dia fun Orunmila
Ifa nbe laarin ota
Ebo ni won ni ko se
O gbebo, o rubo
Nje Ogunda-Rosun gbowo mi

Translation:
The whirlwind is it that sweeps the market ground
And makes it completely clean
This was the message of Ifa for Orunmila
When he was in the midst of foes
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
Ogunda-Rosun, please protect me
We cannot grab fire when it is still burning
Ogunda-Rosun, please protect me
We cannot grab a leopard when it is still alive
Ogunda-Rosun, please protect me
We cannot grab a poisonous snake when it is still alive
Ogunda-Rosun, please protect me

8. Ifa foresees ire of victory for your child. Ifa says that in future there
is going to be a particular person who will not wish him well and who
will harbor evil thought against him. Ifa says that since you have
done Itenifa for him with Ogunda-Irosun as his guiding Odu, victory
over enemies is assured. However, there is the need for you to offer
ebo for him with two roosters, 2 hens, oguro (raffia wine),
sugarcane, honey and money. On this, Ifa says;
Didun-didun ni toguro
Didun-didun ni tireke
Dia fun Atankoko Ologberi
Ti nba Alawo sota
Atankoko Ologberi
Ti nba Alawo sota o
Ogunda Irosun pawon je
Translation:

Sweetness is for oguro (raffia wine)

Sweetness is for sugarcane
These were Ifas declarations to Atankoko Ologberi (the
uninitiated)
The one who made an Awo his enemy
Atankoko Ologberi
That opposes the Awo
Ogunda Irosun will devour them

10 Ifa foresees ire of childbearing and honor for your child in this stanza.
Ifa says that in future, your childs activities in the community, group
or association he will belong to will make people to honor him with
titles and/or awards.
Moreover, Ifa says that he too shall also be blessed with a wonderful
child. The child shall be a blessing to him the way that he will be a
blessing to you. However, you are advised to offer ebo, and to
propitiate Oya with a mature she-goat. On this, Ifa says;

Dia fun Oyadosin
Ti nlo re joye Onipo
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gbebo, o rubo
A ti mu Oyadosin jOnipo
Soko soko sonbe
Translation:
Soko soko sonbe (alias of an Awo)
He cast Ifa for Oyadosin
When going to be installed as Onipo (King of Ipo land)
He was advised to offer ebo

We have installed Oyadosin as the King

9. Ifa foresees ire aje (financial success) and victory over negative
principalities for your son in this stanza. Ifa says that in future, there
is going to be an attempt to dispossess him of his possession.
However, you need to offer ebo for him to thwart the efforts of his
future antagonists.
On the other hand, Ifa says that you should train him to be
contented with what Olodumare has blessed him with and never to

contemplate disposessing others of their belongings. The

consequence is usually umpleasant.
Secondly, Ifa says that in future, something ominious will be
happening and which he or any other person around him will be
ignorant of. What this means in essence is that, there is going to be
some negative forces responsible for the strange happenings. Ifa
assures your son of victory over these negative forces once the ebo
is offered. The ebo materials include; musical drums, 3 roosters,
trumpet and money. On all these, Ifa says
Ma dundun-ndundun
Ma saka nsaka
Ma ferekun, ma ferekun
Ma konkolo
Dia fun Esu-Okogba

These were Ifas messages for Esu-Okogba
When weeping that he lacked prosperity
I will play music and dance for seven days
This was Ifas message for Iromi (the leave that dropped into a
stream)
The offspring of the river goddess
When weeping that she had no fixed place of abode
She was advised to offer ebo
I will dance for seven days
Death, affliction, contentionand loss have no effect on us
under the river-bed
I will dance for seven days

Ifa says that Ogunda-Irosun children excel better in consultancy jobs

and other jobs that involves sitting in an office while people come to
transact business. According to this Odu, your son is not supposed

to be in a business whereby he will be moving from one place to the

other in order to make ends meet. All he needs to do is to establish
a business within his vicinity or anywhere close to his abode where
people will approach him for one business transaction or the other.
However, you are advised to offer ebo for him with 3 hens, 3 guinea
fowls and money. Also, you need to feed Ifa for him with a mature
she-goat. On this, Ifa says;
Ogunda roro ko lowo
Irosun roro ko la
Dia fun Orunmila
Yoo kese meji
Yoo se si merin
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gbebo, o rubo
Nje kini n o ro la?
Oko odede
Ni n o ro la
Oko odede
Translation:
Ogunda strived in farming but could not succeed financially
Irosun also engaged in farming but was not prosperous
These were Ifas messages for Orunmila
When he changed from walking with two legs
To sitting in a permanent place
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
What is it that I will do to prosper
The job within my vicinity
Is what I will do to prosper

Ifa foresees ire from abroad for your son. Ifa says also that trading
business is also good for him whereby goods will be imported from
abroad and then sold by your son. Ifa says that there is a high
degree of success chances in this endeavor. In this wise, you are
advised to offer ebo for him with pigeons, ducks, guinea fowls and
money. You also need to feed Aje for him with pigeon and unsalted
bean fritters for financial success. On this, Ifa says;
Ogun lewe ina
Oji niti iroko
Aadota ni ti mimiro
Dia fun Olomo
Ti yoo sowosowo

Ti yoo jeere-jeere

The leaves of Ina are in twenties
Those of Iroko are in forties
The leaves of Mimiro are in fifties
This was the Ifa cast for Olomo
The one who would transact trading business
And would reap huge profit
The same Ifa was also cast for Olomo
When he would bring home profit from abroad
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
Making profit is good business
Ifa, let me bring into our home huge profit

13.

Ifa says that you should be cautious of the woman that your son is
going to take as his wife in future. You need to be sure that she
loves him as much as he loves her, else she might take certain
steps/actions that may cost your son his life. This is even worse if
this woman is dark-skinned. This is very important as far as OgundaIrosun is concerned. You need to offer ebo for him with a mature hegoat, calabash, ceramic plate and money. On this Ifa says;
Bi o ri eera
Bi o ri poroporo
O o se bi gumogumo ni won fe ara a won denu
Eera o fe poroporo denu
Omo araaye o fe ka jebe ninu awo tannganran
Dia fun Eera
Tii sobinrin Opoto
Awa o mo igba ti Eera yi wonu Opoto o
Translation:
When you see Eera (ant)
When you see Poroporo (millet)
You will think they are deeply in love with one another
Eera does not really love Poroporo

Human beings do not wish us to eat with porcelain

Behold! We did not know when Eera got into the belly of
Opoto which led to his death

Ifa says that in future, your sons efforts at accomplishing certain

things in life will be circumvented by four negative principalities, no
matter how much effort he puts in. Ifa advises you to offer ebo for
accomplishment for him with 4 snails, 4 roosters and money. Certain
Ifa preparations must be made by Awo to be buried in the four
corners of your room. On this Ifa says;
Alugbore, aluye
Dia fun Orunmila
Ifa n loo kunle soro jeun tuntun lodun
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gbebo, o rubo
Iku gbagbin n raye soro temi o
Alugbore, aluye
Arun, ejo, ofo gbagbin nraye soro temi o

Alugbore, aluye

When he was about to perform his annual propitiation
He was advised to offer ebo
Death, take the snail and let me perform my propitiation

Ailment, contention and loss, take the snail and let me

15. Ifa says that all what your son might have lost either material or
financial will be regained. Ifa says that if someone or some people
deserted him, they will come back to him. Ifa however advises you
to offer ebo of victory for him in this regard. On this, Ifa says;

Dia fun ile
Tii soko Laalaa

Ebo ni won ni ko se
O gbebo, o rubo
Laalaa to roke
Ile lo nbo
Translation:
Ogunda Irosun gbaragada (name of an Awo)
Cast Ifa for Ile (ground)
Who was the husband of Laalaa
He was advised to offer ebo

Laalaa that goes up
Must surely come back to the ground

16.

Ifa advises you train your son not to be avaricious or make any
attempt to covet another mans belonging. Ifa says that all your
sons aspirations shall materialise but he needs to avoid a situation
whereby he would have succeeded in achieving great things while at
the same time pursuing things of less importance. Ifa cautions your
son against the above in order not to lose out completely.
Ifa says that the attempt to pursue lesser things while one had
succeeded in great things will turn sour and then cause the total
loss of everything including the great things already achieved. In
this wise, you are advised to offer ebo for him. One is for him to
succeed in his endeavors, the other is for him to be able to resist the
temptation of avarice.
The ebo for success includes two pigeons and money. While the ebo
for avarice is he-goat and money. On all these, Ifa says;
