NARRATIVE REPORT
WORLD TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION
Theme: My Teacher, My Hero
October 04, 2016
There is no money in teaching but it offers a certain consolations both
real and gratifying, these include: the joy of being with the young or with the
different students, their respect, their recognition, their concern and their
friendly attitude.
Annually, World Teachers Day is celebrated in recognition of how great
and noble teachers for molding the young minds into its best!
October 04, 2016, BNAS SM Annex headed by Sir Leslie S. Domingo
celebrated the day for the real heroes- the TEACHERS. The program
successfully implemented this memorable celebration by the Supreme
Student Government lead by Sir Edelilo Duruin, SSG Adviser and was hosted
by Christine Imee Bello and Linzy Joy Serrano both SSG Officers. The program
started at Two Oclock in the afternoon where different activities were made.
It begun with a Prayer followed by the Singing of the National Anthem
and the Baggao Hymn. There was giving of tributes from the selected
students in different Grade Levels and was shared by the following: Grade
VII- Cherry Lou Cabana, Grade VIII- Carol Jean Serrano, Grade IX- Ivy Joy
Domingo, Grade X- Jelyn Mae Rivera and Grade XI- Haidee Villanueva.
They emphasized their gratitude to all their teachers who have been
sacrificing for them that even the heights of their misbehaviors, teachers
always end up understanding and forgiving each one of them. In the
absence of a teacher makes other elements futile, Haidee Villanueva
mentioned. One of them also said that it is the teacher who stimulates,
leads, and directs the students to learn. A teacher is the central figure in
human resource management. A good teacher contributes greatly to the
formation of a truly democratic society, and emotionally stable and
physically fit individuals.
Tears fell not only from the heroes eyes but as well from the students
for the sentimental tributes shared by some of the students. Laughter was
also created from the listeners faces from the poem made by Jeyn Mae
Rivera, Grade X Representative as a way of expressing her appreciations and
dislikes about her past and present mentors. She also mentioned teachers
who have truly touched her life and have never forgotten because of their
kindness and way of delivering lessons from books and of life.
Tributes from the selected students will be meaningless without the
responses from the teachers. The chosen ones were Sir Benedict and Maam

Dian Acoba both SHS teachers. It was accentuated by Sir Ben that being
strict inside the classroom is just a matter of giving and imposing discipline
for respect not to be forgotten.
I am much pleased for the warm welcome you showed and did when I
became part of this institution, its a pleasure indeed to be with this group,
Maam Dian started when she gave her response. She added that teaching is
a profession which could offer one with the real joy of living.
Then, Thank you for teaching me how to lovethanks to you, a song
was reiterately sung by the students as they fell in line, gave gifts, tokens,
letters, flowers, etc. to their teachers after giving of tributes and responses.
This was orderly done by each class. Hugs and kisses were also witnessed
from fellow teachers to their former mentors as expression of their gratitude
for being part of their success.
Finally, Sir Leslie Domingo, Head Teacher V & Officer-In-Charge and was
also a birthday celebrant on that time ended the program meaningfully by
expressing his gratitude and appreciation to his subordinates and to all the
students. He ended up the program by saying, Being a teacher would be a
living testimony that the mobility of teaching profession remains
incomparable with other vocations and callings. To all of you my dear young
boys and girls, continue your dreams and always find a way to put them into
effect. It is never a bad idea if you will follow your teachers footsteps. To my
fellow teachers, let us continue inspiring and molding the young minds no
matter how hard (and risky sometimes) our profession is because I truly
believe in this line which says, Teaching affects eternity.
Indeed, Happy World Teachers Day fellow Teachers!
