confirm a place in our tournament.)

*(IMPORTANT: Your teams registration is not confirmed until payment has been
made. No refund will be given in the case of pulling out from the tournament. No
reservation of places can be made

printing the form online, drop the form at Curtin Sarawak Student Council office or
contact us.
Include photocopy of IC or student ID if you are Curtin Student of every team
member including stand in.

Tournament Schedules:
18th September team briefing ( At least ONE member of each team must be present
for the briefing of tournament).
19th-23rd September Tournament will run online.
24th September Tournament will be held at Curtin University Auditorium. Players must
be present at the venue.

There is limited slot [16] for our tournament.
Games will be hosted on the SEA (Singapore) server.

Tournament rules & regulations (failure to fulfill may result in disqualification):


1. Server
The server to be used is SEA server (singapore)
2. Game settings and spectators
Game settings will be provided to the captain.
The mode is Captains Mode and games will be played using the
Tournament Version. All heroes are allowed.

3. Nicknames (MUST)
You need to use your team tag as well as your common nick name. For example:
"VG.iceiceice"
If you use a stand-in, make sure the stand-in tags Standin.nickname, with the
nickname being his common nick.
No offensive/foul language for nicknames.
4. Teams that qualify to Finals MUST attend the venue.
5. Stand-ins
Only one stand-in is allowed.
You may not use a stand-in player that belongs to another team that is competing
in the tournament.
There will be no prize for stand in.
6. Sides and pick
Will be decided by the referee in-charge of that current match.
7. Behaviour
Flaming and bad-mouthing is NOT allowed and will lead to straight
disqualification.
8. Disconnects, pauses and crashes
If the game crashes during the picks, the game will be remade and the same picks
will be picked.
Teams have the right to pause the game if needed. Be sure to announce the pause
in all-chat before you pause, by saying p or pause. You also need to state the
reason for pausing after youve paused.
Up to 10 minutes of pausing per game for each team is allowed. That is 10
minutes of total and not several pauses of 10 minutes each.
The 10 minute rule does not apply for Finals. Admins decide on pauses during
those rounds.

The reason for the pause must be reasonable. Both teams must agree on resuming
before resuming the game.
If the game needs to be remade, the players will pick the same heroes, skill the
same skills, buy the same items and choose the same lanes as they did in first
attempt of the game.
Once GG is called, the team that called GG is not allowed to cancel

9. Pooling: Rules about sharing items


You can buy or give following items to a teammate: Scroll of Teleportation,
Healing Salve, Clarity Potion, Tango, Smoke of Deceit, Dust of Appearance,
Observer Ward, Sentry Ward and Gem of True Sight.
It is allowed to share passive regeneration items (such as ring of health, void
stone, etc).
Admins got the final word regarding what counts as pooling and what doesnt.
10. Backdoor
All kinds of backdooring is allowed.

11. Bugs and glitches


You are not allowed to use bugs or glitches in the game for your advantage.
Each team is responsible to know about bugs that may affect the game. You can
read more about bugs on the official bug forum dev.dota2.com
If one or more essential bugs are used intentionally to your advantage, your team
will be disqualified from the tournament.
If a game-breaking bug occur, you should pause the game, and contact our admin.

12. Game end

The game is over when either teams Ancient Fortress is destroyed or when a team
forfeits and disconnects from the game.
13. Results
Results will be announced in Curtin Gaming Championship facebook page.

14. Groupstage
Sixteen teams are split into 2 groups of 8.
Top four teams from each group are seeded in Upper Bracket, while bottom four
teams from each group are seeded in Lower Bracket.
Tiebreaks are resolved with: Total time the team takes in winning matches.
For example, Team A has 3 points with total time of 128 minutes and Team B has 3 points
with total time of 135 minutes. Team A has priority in group placing.

15. Finals
Teams that qualify to Grand Finals MUST bring their own PC/laptop. The
organizers do not provide PC/laptop.

16. Teams
Teams that participate in DOTA 2 cannot participate in CS:GO and vice versa due to
time clashes.
