CHALLENGES OF MY LIFE

Nearly all people want to have a job when they grow up to support themselves and their families. However, I
have also heard some people say that if they were rich, they would not work anymore. I do not think they are
right because working brings us many benefits.
It is widely agreed that work makes us independent. When working, we can support ourselves and
sometimes supports others. Then, work is also good for our self-esteem because we are not mistletoes
(what?) Moreover, work helps us develop ourselves, when we have something to do, we feel that our lives
are meaningful. Many wealthy people who do not have to work for a living still work for this reason. In
addition, many of us enjoy our work because it gives us opportunities to get to know and meet other people.
Thanks to people we have met, we can improve our personalities, behaviors, and communication skills.
However, we should not always indulge in our work. As we know 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull
boy', so I think it is necessary for us to balance work and leisure in our lives.
Leisure time is very important for us because it helps us refresh ourselves after working hard. However, we
are different, so the way we enjoy our leisure is also different. We have our own rights to choose what to do
during our leisure hours. Some people pursue their hobbies such as going camping or picnics with their
family members or close friends. Others can choose to pursue lively activities such as playing sports, joining
adventure tours or taking part in TV game shows. The rest can choose to stay at home reading books or
listening to music. Generally, leisure breaks the monotony of the working hours.
In short, I think we need both to work and to relax. Working helps us create what we can enjoy, and relaxing
helps us enjoy what we have created.

READING

To speak frankly, I am pretty keen on reading. My grandfather was a writer, when I was a little child, he
inspired me and nurtured my interest in books.
Weekends are a great time for me to read books because I can free myself from work stuff at that time. You
know, on weekdays, I am really up to my ears in assignments.
Reading is a part of my life and bedroom is always the number one place for my reading activity. I can do
anything I like without being disturbed.

Well, you know, this hobby can have positive influences on me. The first thing I would like to say is that as a
result of reading books from different fields is that I can broaden my knowledge about life. I can not forget to
mention that after I read books, I can escape from the hustle and bustle of this busy life, Finally, I believe that
reading books may cultivate my imagination.
My grandfather was a writer. He spent all of his life working on his brain child. Before he was dead, he told
me to love and attach importance to every book I had because they could make me more mature than I
thought. I followed his advice and now books have become part of my life.
How amazing reading books is! I guess this hobby will be my best companion for the rest of my life
I thought that I was not a great one for reading books. I could spend the whole day playing video games
while just a second after I cracked the cover would make me feel sleepy. However, thanks to the advice from
my grandfather. I increasingly have a deep passion for reading. Now I am a bookworm.
Some of my friends look down on me for the reason that as a man, I am lazy with sports like football,.
Badminton. Or ever playing games and they think it is weird. However I think that each person has different
interests. If I play sports like other men I may become their second version. That's why I believe that my
reading books makes me outstanding\

GIFT YOU RECEIVED YOU DON'T LIKE

I'm going to describe the gifts I received Last year, my wife and I celebrated my birthday at
home and it was a present from then. She bought a Thai restaurant gift voucher as a
birthday gift. I didn't like this gift very much
On the one hand, there are several reason why I dont enjoy eating with gift vouchers. The
first drawback is that I was given unfriendly looks by restaurant staff. For instance, I
remember that I must show gift vouchers before entering the restaurant, It makes me
really feel uncomfortable. Secondly, I was very unhappy because there was a priority for
cash customers. Also, I found my seat in a bad area. Additionally, I was obliged to use it
within a specified time limit. This meant that I could not enjoy it during the weekend.
On the other hand, this might bring about some benefits. The first advantage is that it
would be cheaper than paying directly. For example, if an employer gives a VND200,000
gift voucher to an employee which it only paid VND100.000 for, then the amount of value
will be VND200,000. Another benefit of a voucher is that it is an essential part of modern

life for a healthy life. This allows me to have control over the amount of food per lunch or
dinner to ensure a better diet.

TOWN AND CITY LIFE

Nowadays,it is obvious that people shifting from rural areas to cities for expecting/ leading /living a
better life is on (the rise). In spite of containing some extra facilities, city life has its drawbacks
which are increasing day by day for overcrowded people. government should take effective
measures to tackle the cities problem as well as encourage them to live in rural areas while
ensuring a better standard of living
City life has several drawbacks. First, the cost of living in a city is usually much higher than in a
small town or village. Inhabitants of cities have to pay higher prices for housing, transport, and
even food. Secondly, urban areas tend to suffer from social problems such as high crime and
poverty rates in comparison with rural areas. Finally, the air quality in cities is often poor, due to
pollution from traffic, and the streets and public transport systems are usually overcrowded. As a
result, city life can be unhealthy and stressful.
Regarding the solutions, individuals should consider the pros and cons of living in big cities, and
also the government should make every effort to increase awareness among people about the
problems of city life and consider the reasons why people of less developed areas are migrating to
cities. For instance, by providing good education, medical facilities, transportation and more
importantly job prospects. And Government should create all necessary facilities, business and
employment in town for people.

TIME

Think time?

To me, time is my competitor. I always have a lot of things to do and a lot of dreams to fulfill, so I
have to run against time and do my things as fast as possible. That's why I consider time my
competitor.

Being late?

It is quite rude to be late. Generally, people who don't show up on time are considered impolite.
Moreover, they show disrespect to others because others have to wait for them. However, in my
country, many people are not punctual.

How do you feel if you are late?

I will feel quite sorry for those who have to wait for me. I may also have the feeling of being
embarrassed. Whenever I show up late, I must apologize sincerely to others. Of course, I have few
chances to do so because generally I am always punctual.

HAPPY EVENT OF MY LIFE

Im going to talk about a happy event. I can remember many happy events of my life and among them I
would like to talk about the event that I can still remember vividly. It was 15 years ago now, The moment I
heard that I have got into University was a very happy moment for me. I spent almost 12 years with great
anxiety awaiting my result. I started speculating on so many things I could hardly keep away the tension
about my upcoming result. The result was so important that my college admission would have depended on
it. I could not sleep well in the night before the result publishing.
The results were published at around 12.00 am and I found that I did exceptionally well. I was so relieved
and happy that I literally shouted. Then I hurriedly came back to my home and gave the news to my parents.
My whole family was involved in the event , They were happy too. My father bought sweets and my
mother gave it to our neighbors.
The reason that I remember it so well is that I had been so desperate to go to the theme park and Id been
talking to my friends at school. So it was so great when I found out that I could. Also I remember it so well
because all of our family was happy together. My Dad was pretty busy most of the time with his work so we
didnt always have much time to do things together but I had take a day off to get celebrate to me
