My name is Mr. Iwan Murawan Ibnu. I am writing this letter to kindly request
for a permission to conduct study excursion for 5 th semester university
students at Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn, Malaysia. I am the Head of
Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Sriwijaya University.
Sriwijaya Universty is a state university at South Sumatra Province in
Indonesia. Our university is building a pathway to become a qualified research
university and also is constantly improving our education system for the
welfare of the community of South Sumatra. Specifically, the Architecture
Study Program has a vital role in preparing students to become qualified
architectures and to become contributor in their field in South Sumatra
Province. South Sumatra is mostly wetland area in which needs special
concept and design of building construction. Hence, as the Head of
Architecture Study Program, it is crucial that I prepare these students well.

Due to the challenges above, we would like to learn from credible and
experienced Office in relation with architecture such as Hijjas Kasturi
Associates Sdn, Malaysia, how to face and solve issues related with
architecture design in wetland area such as our province, South Sumatra. It
would be a great honour and wonderful opportunity for students of
Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Sriwijaya University to
pay a visit to Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn.
We would like to know if Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn held a Workshop that
we might join and kindly propose a date and time in which our students and
lecturers are able to conduct the visit and possibly attend a workshop that
Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn may host, and visiting the project that is owned
by Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn. That is on the 14th of February 2017, 12:30
PM until 14:30 PM. However, we may negotiate other possible date and time,
also the form of activities according to Hijjas Kasturi Associates Sdn
convenience. There will be 3 lecturers and 63 students participating.
