1. I, hereby, declare that, VR14 academic regulations are based on credit system.
2. I, hereby, As there is no flexibility given in the above regulations to the fast learning
students to take the courses in advance to concentrate on their project during the
eighth semester, it is proposed to introduce limited flexibility to the students in
taking the courses of eighth semester in advance, in the present VR14 academic
regulations.
3.I, hereby, entering the nth semester with no back log courses and a CGPA 8 up to (n2)th semester, are only eligible to opt for this flexibility and will be treated as fast
learning students.
4.I understand that, It is proposed to offer all the theory and laboratory courses excluding
project work of 8th semester of B.Tech programme, during 5 th, 6th and 7th semesters as
advanced 8th semester courses without affecting the prerequisite condition as given
in VR14 regulations. Fast learning students can take additional courses from 8 th
semester to a maximum of 8 credits (maximum of two theory courses/ one theory and
two lab courses) in each of the 5 th, 6th and 7th semesters along with the regular
semester courses as prescribed in the VR 14 regulations. There is no minimum limit
on the credits for taking advanced courses.
5. I, hereby declare that, The contact hours, internal assessment pattern, eligibility criteria
to write advanced 8th semester end examinations of all the theory and lab courses
and revaluation scheme will be as per the VR 14 academic regulations.
6. I understand that, Department shall prepare the list of 8 th semester courses/labs offered
in the 5th,6th and 7th semesters as advanced 8th semester courses/labs and intimate the
students well in advance.
7. I, hereby declare that The advanced 8th semester courses/labs offered during 5 th, 6th and
7th semesters will be treated separately and the fast learning student has to meet
minimum attendance and marks requirement in individual courses as per the VR 14
regulations to become eligible to appear in the advanced 8th semester end
examinations.
8. I, hereby declare that In case any fast learning student fails in the advanced 8th semester
course(s)/lab(s) offered in 5th, 6th and 7th semesters, he/she has to appear in the
regular eighth semester end examinations and forfeit the said flexibility from that
semester onwards.
9. I, also declare that ,detained either in the advanced 8th semester course(s) offered
during the 5th / 6th /7th semesters, or in the regular 5th/ 6th/7th semesters, he/she will
forfeit the option for said flexibility from that semester onwards. However, he/she will
be exempted from attending the regular 8 th semester courses/labs for which he/she
has already got the eligibility of writing semester end examinations.
10. I, further declare that, For the purpose of promotion to 7th semester, the credits of

advanced 8th semester courses/labs offered in 5th semester will not be counted.
11. I, hereby undertake to opting for the said flexibility will be considered for award
of the class on par with other regular students.
