HISTORY AND MISSION
Who we are and what we offer
ISACA was incorporated by individuals who recognized a need for a centralized source of information and guidance in the growing field of
auditing controls for computer systems. A nonprofit, independent membership association, ISACA(R) is a leading global provider of knowledge,
certifications, community, advocacy and education on information systems assurance, control and security, enterprise governance of IT, and ITrelated risk and compliance. Founded in 1969 as the EDP Auditors Association, ISACA helps its members and their employers ensure trust in, and
value from, information systems. Another of ISACAs strengths is its chapter network. ISACA has more than 190 chapters established in over 75
countries worldwide, and those chapters provide members education, resource sharing, advocacy, professional networking and a host of other
benefits on a local level.
Since its inception, ISACA has become a pace-setting global organization for information governance, control, security and audit professionals. Its
IS auditing and IS control standards are followed by practitioners worldwide. Its research pinpoints professional issues challenging its
constituents.
As a nonprofit, global membership association for IT and information systems professionals, ISACA is committed to providing its diverse
constituency of more than 110,000 worldwide with the tools they need to achieve individual and organizational success. ISACA membership and
its certification programs are globally accepted and recognized. ISACA actively promotes research that results in the development of products
both relevant and useful to IT governance, control, assurance and security professionals.
ISACA Manila is the local arm promoting the objectives of the ISACA International. The chapter offers educational events such as review course
programs for the CISA, CISM and CRISC exams, summits and conferences, public and in-house seminars, free technical sessions and other topical
and relevant programs to meet the educational and networking needs of IT professionals and help maintain their professional edge in an everchanging global environment.
