curriculum and the campus were a perfect fit for me. Northwestern is my top college choice because its academic and artistic playground would allow me to delve into my creativity and foster growth in all areas of my life. Northwesterns conservatory-style theatre program mixes perfectly with the liberal class structure, providing students like myself the opportunity to explore many fields of study. Northwestern would bolster me as an academic student, an arts student, and an all-around person. On my Chicago college trip, I visited three different programsLoyola, Northwestern and DePaulwhich helped me develop my true desires. While Loyolas academics are too liberal and DePauls too conservative, Northwestern teaches its students to become brilliant allaround people; the program is unlike any other, and Id love to participate in it. While Northwestern has amazing academics, they would also provide opportunities in the arts. Yes, NU is close to Chicagoa land of opportunitybut Northwestern would provide professional on-campus activities for me to further my skills. Through a myriad of showcases, a cappella groups, stage shows, and improv opportunities, I could explore myself and my boundaries. In my present theatrical career, Ive pursued every aspect of theatre, including writing, casting, and directing my own musical; because of this, the Dolphin program really interests me. Im ready to be challenged at the collegiate level and am excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with other dedicated theatre students. Northwestern attracts me for many reason: academics, theatrical opportunities, oncampus productions, grilled cheese, andwhen I went on my tourthe enthusiasm of NU
students was contagious; I couldnt help but see myself participating and thriving. I cant wait for my NU future!
