Astronomy in Ancient Civilizations

The fascination with the stars and night sky dates back to ancient civilizations. In
this activity you will learn a little more about the understandings that these
civilizations had about the night sky.
Directions:
Individually: choose any 4 of the following ancient civilizations. For each
civilization research their understanding of astronomy and any lasting
contributions they made to our current understanding of astronomy. For each
civilization write a - 1 page report on your findings. Additionally include an
image that represents an element of this civilization. This should be typed in
normal 12 pt font with 1.5 spacing.

assignment: 60 points
Due Date:
You will have the remainder of class today and Monday during class to work on this
assignment. It is due at the start of the period on Friday, January 13th.
