SUBJECT: - QUALITATIVE WEATHER/FLOOD FORECAST FOR NEXT 24-HRS:
I: HYDROLOGICAL SITUATION: According to latest Hydrological situation at 0600 PST, River Indus at Kalabagh and River Kabul at Nowshera are in Low Flood level. All the other major Rivers are flowing below low flood level.
II: METEOROLOGICAL FEATURES:
a) A fresh trough of westerly wave lies over North of Afghanistan. b) Seasonal Low lies over Northeast Balochistan. c) Weak Moist current from Bay of Bengal is penetrating upper parts of the country upto 4000 feet. d) Monsoon Low over Northwest Bay of Bengal has become insignificant.
III: WEATHER FORECAST FOR NEXT 24-HOURS:
Mainly dry weather is expected over most parts of the country. However, isolated thunder showers are expected over South Sindh, Rawalpindi Division & Kashmir.
