X. Course Description: Study of the elements of patient care and management as they relate to radiography.
XI. Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, student is expected to demonstrate the skills in patient identification and observation,
transfer, control of infection, observation of vital signs, and identification and management of emergency situations.
Cognitive:
1. To identify and explain the concepts, procedures and techniques of patient care and management in the
field of Radiologic Technology.
2. To demonstrate procedures relevant in patient care and management.
Psychomotor:
1. To be able to construct planning techniques in managing patients.
2. To display confidence in performing various procedures relating to the field of study.

Students are highly encouraged to be well-versed with the Davao Doctors College Hymn, Vission, Mission, and Goals. The
students must maintain a professional appearance at all time by wearing the proper uniform as cited in the students hand book.
15 minutes late in the class shall be considered as absent. Unexcused absences of more than 20% of prescribed hours before
midterm shall be considered dropped. No using of cellular phones during classes at any circumstances. Emergency calls should
follow proper protocol by calling institutions phone number (222-0850 to 53) first. Students who will incur absences shall provide
a formal letter and valid attachments before giving of special considerations. Students are required to follow the seat plan and to
comply with the course requirements as cited below. Inability to follow the guidelines is subject for deduction in the values grade
and referral to the SPS for consultation depending on the severity of the case.
Course Requirements:

1/2 size Index card, 4 quiz booklets


1 Notebook, 1 long plastic envelope, Ballpen (black, blue & red)
Must submit 1 reflection paper every session with correct format
Must submit assignment (Health related case/article) every examination with proper format
Materials needed for a specific Return Demonstration during laboratory, Class Project (Final)
