AnditthecombinationsofSSS&PSS(PCI=3*SSS+PSS).
Myquestion:insomedocumentIsawthatweshouldnot
usePSS(exp"0")inthecellofthesamesiteandinthe
neighborsduetoMOD3rule.Idon'tunderstandthathowis
itpossiblenottouse,itisjustthreevaluesinPSS(0,1,2).
YesterdayIsawinonebook,theauthormentionedthatitis
notadvisabletousePCI22&PCI28intheneighbourcell,
becausetheirPSSis1.
SointhiscasehowcanwemakePCIplanningbetween
cells???SameexplanationsalsowerementionedinHarish
VadadaPCIPlanningDocument.

ThemainrequirementsistoavoidPCIcollisionand
confusion.ItsrecommendedtoavoidsamePCIsorPCIs
withthesamefrequencyshiftmod6(1antenna)ormod
3(2,4antennas)tonearbycells.Thustheproblemsincell
searchandcellselectionwillbeavoided
Itgivesananswertoyournextquestion:
Ifweassumemod3usedfor2or4Txantennacase:
PCI=21=>RSfrequencyshiftis0because21mod3=7
PCI=28=>RSfrequencyshiftis0because21mod3=7
sonotadvisabletousePCI=21andPCI=28forneigh
BUTifMod6isusedincaseof1Txantenna:
PCI=21=>RSfrequencyshift3(2118)because21mod6=3
PCI=28=>RSfrequencyshift4(2824)because28mod6=4
it'spossibletousePCI=21,PCI=28forneighbours

It'sbeenabitconfusing.Ithinkyoumean:
PCI(22)>3*7+1,PSS=1or22mod3=1
PCI(28)>3*9+1,PSS=1or28mod3=1
Thus,sameRSfreqshift
PleaseletmeknowifI'mwrong.
