RENTAL POLICY FOR THE ANTWERP ACTIVITY CETER

For rentals contracted after April 15, 2002.


1.

Friday or Saturday rental day will be from 11:00 AM through 4:00 AM the following day.

2.

Rental rates as follow:

** On Wednesday and Sunday renters must be out by 7:00 p.m.

Unless arranged otherwise - hourly rentals must do their own setup and cleanup.
This fee includes janitorial service (except hourly rentals). However, CHARGES WILL
BE DUDUCTED FROM THE $300.00 SECURITY DEPOSIT for excessive cleaning (such
as food on the wall, bathroom destruction with paper etc., unnecessary trashing anywhere)
and/or missing or damaged items as a result of your rental.

No contiguous Sections will be rented to different parties at the same time.

Rental will be on a first come, first served, basis.

5.

Renters needing a kitchen must rent the Center Section.

6.

A $300.00 deposit will be required to hold the reservation. In case of a reservation canceled at least one month prior
to the rental date your full deposit of $300.00 will be refunded. If the cancellation is two or three weeks before rental
date a refund of $150.00 will be refunded. If cancellation is one week prior to or week of the rental date, the entire
deposit will not be refunded but will be retained by the township for expenses it has incurred.

Additional days will be available for rent on either side of a reserved date for $50.00 per day. No additional
janitorial service will be provided for the additional day.

8.

Non-Profit Organizations may reserve and use one section or sections of the Center in the evening at no charge.
However, non-profit organizations must meet the following criteria: (A) more than 25 active members; (B) not be of
political or religious affiliation or orientation; (C) the organization must have an assumed name certificate on file at
the Van Buren County Clerks Office; and (D) over fifty percent of the members must reside in Antwerp Township.
Section set up will be the responsibility of the user.

9.

An inventory of supplies and equipment will be acknowledged by the renter at the time he/she takes possession. An
inventory will be taken after the renter relinquishes possession. Any item missing along with any rental hall,
building or property damage will be deducted from the $300.00 security deposit.

10. Antwerp Township is not responsible for any act or omission of a renter.
11. No alcohol will be sold on Township Property.
12. No person shall be present on Antwerp Township property who is under the influence or alcohol or drugs.
13. Unless the center section of the Activity Center is already obligated, use of the Center during the day for a funeral
reception, will be without charge if the deceased was an Antwerp Township resident at the time of death. Set up and
clean up will be the responsibility of the user.

**NOTE: Your deposit will NOT be returned if any of the following is NOT done.
1. All garbage must be put in dumpster. 2. Any food left must be removed from
refrigerator/freezer and building. 3. Any hanging decorations must be removed.
4. - Any bottles, cans, alcohol containers or pop cans must be removed from the hall.
5. Clean up of parking lot/grounds.
NOTE*** AA meets in the East Section every Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
