Subject: Petition under RTI Act, 2005 about declaration of State symbols.
Greetings,
Kindly refer to the declaration of State symbols by the Govt. of Haryana, without any rules and regulation,
whereas LOTUS claimed as State Flower at the time of Golden Jubilee celebrations of Haryana, without
any Notification in the record, besides it Haryana have:

Likewise as per 2012 census of Haryana:

1,17,209 Cattles claimed as Stray.
4,22,474 Dogs claimed as Stray.
National Project announced with budget provisions for dogs but Cows are still waiting State symbol along
with State Policy for stray cows, due to the importance of the qualities in the Cows:

Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Act, 2015 implemented to safe guard these
species, whereas Govt. of Bihar adopted Ox as State animal of Bihar.
Haryana Gau Seva Ayog was introduced and implemented, constituted as well.

The State Committee for Slaughter Houses, Department of Urban and Local Bodies (Govt. of Haryana) along
with the Haryana Gau Seva Ayog also recommended and passed resolutions about declaration of Cow as
State animal of Haryana, being animal as state subject, besides it representation was also considered by the
Committee on Petitions, Haryana Assembly, many seminars are also organized to protect the cows but these
animals are still claimed as Stray. It would also be pertinent to mention here that we have moved petition
before every SDMs of Haryana under section 133 CrPc, to remove public nuisances.

Hence, OIPA Indian People for Animals declared Cow as State animal of Haryana.
Under RTI Act, please supply me the following Informations along with noting parts:

Copies of all communications and representations about declaration of Cow as State animal of Haryana
along with copies of resolution with agendas passed by the State Committee for Slaughter Houses and
Haryana Gau Seva Ayog etc.
Copies of all Notifications about state symbols of Haryana along with the rules and regulations, under
which Authorities; they are adopted as the state symbols.
Please supply me the copies of Notifications about the National symbols along with the rules and
regulations, under which Authorities; they are adopted as the National symbols.
