FRLHT launched the Amruth Home Garden Programme in Bangalore in the year 2003.
This programme primarily involves a mosaic of carefully selected healing plants for the
urban population as a first response to primary health care needs.

FRLHT believes that home remedies hold promise for self-reliance in primary health
care for millions of households in India, thus realising the potential of ‘People’s
Health in People’s Hands’ and ‘Health for All’ in the near future.

It is well known that a garden of any kind soothes the mind and delights the eye.
The advantages of maintaining a Home Herbal Garden, which contains medicinal
plants, are many. The effects and benefits of this type of garden extend beyond the
ordinary, because these plants offer value beyond ornamentation.
❉ There is less dependence on doctors for primary health care, as remedies for
fever, headache, cold and cough may be brewed at home.
❉ Using these plants as medicine is more economical; also they are available
round the clock.
❉ Since there are no pesticides used, there are no side effects from exposure to
chemicals.
Aromatic plants improve overall health, and the awareness that you are contributing
to the conservation of local plants and Indian traditions is a matter of pride.

TO WHOM SO EVER IT MAY CONCERN
Ours being the first 100% eco resort, we want to ensure that we did
everything completely differently, including our landscaping. This is where
FRLHT stepped in and were able to understand our concept completely
and come back to us with recommendations on what to do in a very clear
manner. The result has been very good. Every single guest who comes to
our resort is appreciative of the wok done by FRLHT.
The most important aspect is that FRLHT has a very good team of
dedicated and sincere workers.
Best regards

Nursery Introduction
In 2002 FRLHT established a nursery, when no such facility existed for medicinal
plants. This is the only nursery that handles 200 species with authentic identity.
❉ The seedlings are raised and stored in the conventional way as well as using the
root trainer technology.
❉ It is 100% organically developed.
❉ The seedlings are maintained in different age groups for different planting
purposes.
❉ The nursery has mist chambers for propagation
❉ The nursery has shade houses for special indoor plants.
