The following was extracted from the published financial statements of Zayn Malik plc, for the
year ending 31 December 2014

Additional information:
1. Total equity shares and loan stock are currently quoted on the London Stock Exchange at
4 and 90 respectively.
2. A final dividend for the year of 400,000 is proposed (no interim dividend was paid in
the year)
Required:
(a) Calculate financial ratio for the company (as discussed in Chapter 47-Frank Wood).
(b) Comment briefly on the each ratios that you calculated.
(c) Comment on the overall financial position of the company revealed by the figures you
have calculated in your answer to (a) and (b) above and provide some recommendation
for the company to improve their financial position.
