Acne: Pathogenesis

Randomize, double blind study

10 Patients, age range 18-45 years
Placebo Wellcap Garcine
Mild to moderate acne symmetrically on face
Wash all face with assigned soap
Apply 2.5% benzoyl peroxide for 5 minutes
Wash with plenty of water
Apply WellCap Garcine and placebo on half face
Every morning and evening for 4 weeks

ASI (Acne Severity Index) = papule + (2 x pustules) + (comedones / 4)
