UNIT GC 2: CONTROLLING WORKPLACE HAZARDS

1. A bench-mounted circular saw has been installed into a workshop. The saw is fitted with
suitable guards and has been connected to an existing local exhaust ventilation system
to control wood dust. A push stick has been provided as a further precaution specific
risk.
(a) Outline the application of suitable guards on the bench-mounted circular saw (3)
