Dear Sir/Madam,
We have immense pleasure to inform you that the Post
Graduate Department of Commerce, Government College,
Kottayam, is organising a Three Day National Workshop on
Financial Econometrics, Data Analysis using SPSS and Structural
Equation Modelling (AMOS) on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December
2016. The seminar is sponsored by The Directorate of Collegiate
Education, Government of Kerala. We warmly welcome
academicians, research scholars and other interested persons to
participate and enrich with valuable discussions on the topic.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE AND DEPARTMENT

Government College Kottayam is the one and the only

Government Arts and Science College in Kottayam District. The
college is offering Post Graduate Programmes, Under Graduate
Programmes and Ph.D Programme.
The Post Graduate Department of Commerce has excellent
academic tradition during the last four and a half decades of
development of our institution. The most vibrant and dynamic
students of the department have achieved many heights. Every
year, the department organises national level workshops/
conferences on Research Modelling, Data Analysis and other
relevant topics related to Commerce and Management. The
Department has a Research Facilitation Centre meant to provide
facilities for data analysis in Social Science Research.

CALL FOR PAPERS

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

In the eve of development in Business and Economics, the need
for research and data analysis is of utmost importance. A clear
understanding of research methodology, preparation of research
instruments, population and selection of samples, analysis of data
and proper interpretation are the pre requisites in research. The
academicians and researchers are facing problems related to the
application of appropriate statistical techniques and its practical
viability. On this ground, this workshop is an attempt to provide
an insight into the methods used under financial econometrics,
analysis of primary data using statistical packages (SPSS) and
Structural Equation Modelling (AMOS).
