Sex pheromone trap studies:

In sex pheromone baited traps, all the lepidopterous species were active except
Earias insulana and E. vittella that were zero during the reporting period. The number
of male moth catches of Pectinophora gossypiella was lower as compared to last
month as well as last year at CCRI Multan, whereas, at farmers field Khanewal, the
population was higher from the last month while same as was the last year. The
population of Helicoverpa armigera, Spodoptera litura and S. exigua were lower from
the last month and corresponding period of last year at both the locations. However,
their population was higher at farmers fields as compared to CCRI, Multan (Table4.1).

Light trap studies

In light trap, moth catches Earias species were zero like last month as well as during
the corresponding period of 2015. However, the number of moths of H. armigera and
S. exigua were found higher from the last month as well as same period of the last
year whereas, S litura was higher than both the previous periods (Table-4.2).
