Brief Writeup of Project

Name of Scheme :
Estimated Cost :

MIP from Beedi Bada at Ganga village

Rs 80.00 Lakh

Presently the farmers have developed their cultivable land and cultivating as rainfed cultivati
depending upon the rain, by adopting single cropping system. The crop production is very meagre due
uncertain irrigation to the field through rain. Further the land is not utilized during Rabi season due to n
availability of irrigation water. The food requirment of the beneficiaries is not being fulfilled due to lo
crop production. Hence they depend upon the local market which affect the economy of the poor people.

Hence the project has been formulated for providing assurred irrigation to boost the crop producti
and improve the socio-economic condition of the beneficiaries. The double cropping pattern wiil
adopted by the farmers after completion of project.Further the employment will be generated duri
implementation of the project for rural people.

The project site is located at Ganga village under Beedi Bada adminstrative circle of Papumpa
District. The project has been designed to irrigate 55.0 Ha culturable land by tapping the irrigation wa
from Tagu Stream. The convayence system has been designed by adopting the following parameter.
