Thislessonfocusesonidentifyingthe7majorcomponentsinsideacomputercase,understand
thefunctionofeachcomponentinsideacomputerandsuggestimprovementtoenhance
computerfunctions.Ithinkthestudentsarefromsecondary1orattheageof13yearsold.The
teacherplaysthevideoandstudentshavetonotedownallthe7componentsanddescribethe
functionofeachcomponent.
DuringthispartIthinkthestudentshavetopaymoreattentionbecausethisrequirestudentsto
memorizethenameofthecomponentanddescribe.Iwouldbebetteriftheteachercanbringthe
realcomponentintoclassandstudentswouldbeabletotouchandfeelthecomponent.Hands-on
learning is an educational method that directly involves the learner, by actively encouraging them
to do something in order to learn about it. In short, it is 'learning by doing'. But is it an effective
way to learn.
In the exercise stage students were required to identify each component and the teacher used test
like activity such as fill in the blanks and match in exercise. It is good to have these kind of
activities because the students would need to recall what they had seen before during the learning
stage. The use computer and internet would help student to acquire IT knowledge to find
information if they couldnt recall the names of the components. Normally young learners are
well versed in using computer or searching for information and the teacher doesnt need the
guide them individually compared to learners below the average age of 12 years old.
In the assessment stage ,students are assigned to prepare a mind map in popplet, I am
really interested in learning on how to use popplet in teaching. By doing this kind of activities
,the students are required to use IT skills completing the task and cooperation among students to
produce mindmaps online. At the end of the lesson students were asked to state the name of
components that can improve a computers speed, storage size and handle better graphic.In this
part I would suggest the teacher could have used quiz online to make this part more interesting.
Teacher prepares a quiz online and sets time, by doing this ,he would be able to evaluate the
effectiveness of his teaching and understanding of his students to the lesson. Usingavarietyof

activitiesandtechnologywillengagethestudentsinthislessonastheyhavechancestopractice
thevariouscompetencies.

ThislessonfocusesonBasicSafetyforcourseparticipants,Icanguessthatthiscourseisfor
adultlearners.Inthislessonplantheteacherortutordidntattachedtheteachingmaterialsor
teachingaidsthatwillbeusedforthelesson.Thereisonlyabriefdescriptiononhowthelesson
willbecarriedout.Thelanguageorchoiceofwordsusedaresimpleforanyonetounderstand
thelessonplan.Thelessonplanhaslearningoutcome,teachingplanandassessment.Thereis
alsoabriefexplanationonthestagesofteachingexampleintheintroductionpart.Thelesson
contentfocusesonthetopicthatwillbecoveredsuchasmanualofhandlingheavyload,ensure
thesurrounding,wheremusttheloadgo,protectiveclothesforbasicsafety,griptheload,ways
tolifttheloadandreviewoftheobjectivebyansweringthequestions.
Duringtheactivitypartparticipanthavetowritewhythearelearningthiscourseandaregiven
30minutestocompletethistask.Inanotheractivityparticipantswillbespending30minutesto
completeapuzzleandidentifythemistakepuzzles.

isassessingthelearnerspriorknowledge.Itwouldbeusefulifhehadattachedthesampleof
onlinetestandquizes.Wecouldhavealookandassessedthequestionsbutheisusingavariety
ofactivitieswillengagethestudentsinthislesson.
