3. Perhatikan struktur kerak samudera dan kerak kontinen pada gambar di bawah ini dengan
masing-masing ketebalan dan densitasnya. Assume that hydrostatic equilibrium is applicable.

Buktikan bahwa hubungan antara ketebalan lapisan samudera dan ketebalan lapisan kerak
kontinen dan kerak samudera seperti rumus di bawah ini:

Hitung kedalaman samudera apabila diketahui densitas air samudera = 1000 kg m -3, ketebalan
lapisan kerak kontinen = 32 km, dengan densitas = 2700 kg m-3, dan ketebalan kerak samudera =
5 km dengan densitas = 2800 kg m-3!

the initial state of stress is lithostatic and that having density = 2900 kg/m3 and poisson ratio =
0.25!
