Thefibre structuremaybeopenedupbytheuseofcarrierorbythermalenergy
Fordyeingpolyesterfibres attemperaturesupto100degreewithoutanycarrierthe
diffusionofdyeisaffected
Thereforeuseofcarrierisrecommended.Thisfacilitatesthediffusionofthedyemolecules

Heretheadvantagetakenisthatsyntheticfibres areconsideredtobethermoplasticandwhenthese
fibres areheatedtoahightemperature,theysoften,theirinternalstructureisopenedupfacilitating
theentryofdispersedyeinthefibre
Thisplasticizingeffectofheatonthesefibres isresponsibleforrapidrateofdiffusionofthedye,
requiringonlyafewsecondstoafewminutes
