My Technology Goals and Objectives for PTJH Goal #1 - Increase student technology use in the classroom. Students must be
prepared for the technological world outside of school. Students who become more
technologically savage in school will have an advantage in post high school
endeavors. (PTISD - Goal 3 &7)
Objective for goal #1 - By March, have 60% of teachers on campus having students
use technology (iPads) at least once a week.
Goal #2 - Increase study and application of digital citizenship. Right now, only students
in the elective CTE keyboarding classes are introduced to digital citizenship. Those

students are also the only ones directly being taught the technology TEKS. (PTISD Goal 4 & 7)
Objective for goal #2 - One Wednesday a month during the OLWEUS anti-bullying
lesson, explore cyberbullying, digital footprint, internet safety, and internet etiquette. (we
also need to make teachers aware of the technology TEKS - still working on that
objective)
Goal #3 - Increase the quality of technology integration above the Substitution stage in
the SAMR model by providing teachers with technology training to increase critical
thinking skills. (PTISD - Goal 6 & 7)
Objective for goal #3 - Require teachers to share new technology strategies once a
month during PLC meetings.

After discussion with classmates here are the Modified

Goals and Objectives.
My Technology Goals and Objectives for PTJH Goal #1 - Increase student technology use in the classroom.
Explanation - Students must be prepared for the technological world outside of school.
Students who become more technologically savvy in junior high and high school will
have an advantage in post high school endeavors. (PTISD - Goal 3 &7)
Objective for goal #1 - By March, have 60% of teachers on campus having students
use technology (iPads) at least once a week.
Goal #2 - Increase study and application of digital citizenship.
Explanation - Right now, only students in the elective CTE keyboarding classes are
introduced to digital citizenship. Those students are also the only ones directly being
taught the technology TEKS. (PTISD - Goal 4 & 7)
Objective for goal #2 - One Wednesday a month during the OLWEUS anti-bullying
lesson (during 4th period classes) students will explore cyberbullying, digital footprint,
internet safety, and internet etiquette.
Goal #3 - Increase the quality of technology integration above the Substitution stage in
the SAMR model by providing teachers with technology training to increase critical
thinking skills.
Explanation - Even though our campus is a 1:1 iPad campus, most of the technology
usage is just substitution for a textbook, or paper. Technology is not being used in
higher level activities, because teachers are not given relevant, content specific
technology trainings. (PTISD - Goal 6 & 7)
Objective for goal #3 - Require teachers to share new technology strategies once a
month during PLC meetings.
