Print the colouring sheets
Have the games ready

1. Morning routine
Welcome the students in at the door
Remind choir students to leave their coats on
Remember agendas, classroom jobs, water bottles, and
attendance
Excuse the choir students when they are called
2. Math games
Play How Many Are Missing (15-2o min.)
o Ask the students to remind me how to play
o Let the students choose their own partners, grab
the game pieces, and start playing
At 8:50, call for the class attention and instruct them to
clean up their stuff and bring it back to the front
Explain and play Could You or Couldnt You (35-40
min.)
o Go through the instructionsmodel the game with
a student (10 min.)
o Let the students choose a partner, grab the game,
and play
At 9:25, have the students clean up their games and line
up at the door

Wait for the class to be in their desks
Ask the class if they would rather read alone or with a
partner
o Let them sit wherever they would like
o Make sure they are being quiet (reading quietly to
themselves or speaking softly as they read to
others)
If they are showing signs of being done reading, I will
allow them to start colouring
o I will have colouring sheets available
5. Recess
If we are going outside, give them 5 min. to get ready
o Play 20 questions while waiting at the door
o When they come in after recess, have them sit on
the carpet
If we are inside, remind them of the routine (if we are
not dancing)
o Give them 2 min. to clean up and transition to the
back carpet at the end
6. Listening to reading/colouring
Wait until they are all quietly sitting on the back carpet
Read Miss Omans Christmas story with them
When I am done reading, I will let them colour
o Let them sit wherever they would like
o Listen to Christmas music while they colour
At 11:10, ask the students to clean up and line up
quietly at the door
7. P.E.
Remind them to move quietly through the halls
Warm up while we are waitingrun on long lines, walk
on short lines
o No talking and no sitting
I will assist for gym
8. Lunch supervision
I will be on outdoor supervision and indoor supervision
If we have indoor recess, remind them to eat and clean
up before getting out any games
