Given vector

a) By performing only two vector operations, find the unit vector ( ) of its projection on the Y-Z plane.
b) Find a vector normal to both the x-axis and .

Part III. [20%]


A signboard ABCD assembled in uneven
ground is supported by cable EF as shown. Edge BC is horizontal.
Given that the tension exerted by cable EF at E is 215 N, and the
moment of that force about the y-axis is -68 j N-m,
a) determine the height h of the signboard
b) find the magnitude of the moments about y-axis and z-axis of
the tension in cable EF

Part IV. [20%] A force F = 35N is applied at


point O, where three cables, namely OA, OB,
and OC, are attached.
a. Determine the lengths of the three
cables.
b. Determine the tension experienced by
cable OA.

Note: Force F is placed 60 from the xy-plane


and the projection of force F on the xy-plane is
placed 20 from the y-axis.
