Assignment:

Create a podcast using what you learned from class about establishing Mood through
tone of voice. Podcast length is not important as long as you are establishing a mood
through your tone of voice. Start off by creating a skit, play, dialogue, or anything that
involves creating mood through tone of voice. After the writing is complete, record
your voice, either by using Audacity or any other recording platform to then submit a
podcast through sound cloud.
Due date: 11/28/2016
Prompt:
By learning about establishing mood through tone of voice via viewing video clips,
listening to podcasts, and interviews, students will be able to create a short skit in
which they demonstrate tone of voice. Students will then create a podcast in order
to cement the lesson and provide evidence that they can identify the importance of
establishing mood through tone of voice. The podcast has no specific length as long
as the student demonstrates what they learned from the lesson.
By this moment, the students will be familiar with voice recording applications and
will know enough about technology that they will be able to accomplish the task.
Check for understanding:
Students will present their podcast the following day to demonstrate they were able to
use tone of voice to create mood. If all students demonstrate that the task was
achieved we will move on, if not I will present more podcast or examples of my own
to engrave the lesson even more.
