Intellectual Disabilities- Significant limitations, IQ >100
Learning Disabilities- difficulties in acquiring knowledge in certain
subjects
AHDH- Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder
Emotional or Behavioral Disabilities- inability to learn thats not
intellectual over a long period of time
Autism Spectrum Disorder- Neurodevelopmental disorder that
impairs a childs ability to communicate and interact with others.
Speech and Language Impairments- communication disorder
Hearing Impairments- not having part or full ability to hear
Visual Impairments- not having part of full ability to see
Physical Disabilities- limitation of a persons physical functioning

Role of Parents
Parents are a big part of your childs IEP team. Parents are equal partners on their childs IEP team by law.
You have the knowledge of your childs strengths, struggles and development.

Rights of Parents
The school your child is in cant develop, change or implement the IEP without your consent.

The IEP meeting is scheduled.
The IEP meeting is held and the IEP is written.

IEP is reviewed.
